Actually I think he has EH pegged right on. It's been in the media since the blowup that Lizzie is the only person on the panel that has people to "brief" her before she goes on air. Guess she's not smart enough to "get it" and form an opinion herself.

I have heard for years that talk show hosts have assistants that brief them. I've seen back stage clips showing various people being "prepped" for the day's guests and various subject matter.

If we want controversy and someone who speaks her mind how about Dr. Laura. Don't agree with everything she says but boy is she a fiesty one. I love her

Dr Laura was on The View once, and the View girls ripped her apart. I don't think they would want her there. I do like Dr L and I listen to her whenever I can.

I'am back to watching The View now that Rosie is gone.

I'm in no hurry to defend EH's intelligence, but IM is right. Everyone in show business has assistants that do research, prepare briefs, etc. Oprah does. Even my boss--who is merely the producer and star of a regional theater--has me prepare briefs for major interviews. That doesn't he mean he isn't bright and well-informed. He is. But he pays me to take the time to check facts, draft possible responses, make an outline of major points, etc. It's the nature of the biz.

Marry a handsome man, become impregnated (bringing life into this world, which is the most precious thing a woman can do), and happens to be an attractive young thang to boot. So she has enough smarts to look beautiful.

Now whoever doesn't notice her accomplishments, especially the checking account, may not be sooooooo brightttt. I wish I was as stupid as Elisabeth, oh, geez, :laugh: lest I'm smart enough to know her name.

How odd that you condemn Ms. O'Donnell for thinking her opinion "the only one"!

You have just told us everyone who lives in this country must "be united" behind a President. Apparently, we are to pretend Mr. Bush's opinion is "the only one," no matter how dishonest and incompetent he proves to be.

I too find it extremely unlikely that the Bush Administration arranged the bombings on 9/11, but there are many who agree with O'Donnell. Perhaps more discussion will dissuade them; I don't see how stifling discussion can do so.

And.......as much as people tend to bash our President. Today, I feel safe....I believe there could have been more planes, and more destruction right in our own hometowns. I feel blessed that we are protected from that. A country United........looks so much better to the outside World.
They appear more mighty and steadfast........IMO ...I am not of any party........I am an independent voter. Who I feel the safest with, in this environment, is who I will vote for. Right now taxes, schools, and township problems are not top priority with me....( although I'd like to lower my darn taxes sometime soon LOL )

We need a good strong well spoken faith based woman up in the chair discussing real issues which would be helpful to society. A person that knows how to build up, not tear down. Our land is sick from all this verbal destruction towards one another, causing far more damage than most realize.

Donald also needs to stop with the insulting remarks. He's called Rosie a loser to the point of scarring her, he needs to be quiet and leave her alone.

Also, Elisabeth, she's by far more intelligent than he's giving her credit for. I just haven't figured out the slant concerning her and his motivation in attacking her intelligence. Seems he's trying to get a rise out of Elisabeth due to his own.

I'm really so sick of the tv, which I only watch small doses, but even if people have views, like the ones against Bush, the speak that they use totally just alienates me from even caring how they feel or if their even right due to the fact I can't find honor in them due to their hate filled speech.

I'm glad you feel safe. But there is no evidence that anyone's safety can be attributed to the current president. On the contrary, he has done everything possible to incite terrorism and deplete our armed forces, while ignoring even the most basic recommendations to improve safety at our ports, nuclear plants, airfields, etc.

He has done nothing to make the environment safer, quite the contrary.

He has done nothing to secure our future; instead, he has bankrupted the richest nation on earth.

He has done nothing to make you safer from your own government and those who would abuse its power, but has done everything to eliminate civil liberties that have protected us for two centuries.

Yet you feel safe. I have no idea why, but I'm tempted to quote the poet Robert Burns on the origin of bliss. Good for you, I guess.

When I see acts of kindness , it just washes away all the evil and hate we see all the time. Overcoming evil with good, it can be done. I still believe most people are good to the core. I always approach people with that attitude, finding something I can build up within them, something to work with.
