Rosie will not return to "The View"

Nothing, for a father or mother shall not be condemned for their childrens actions.

But in your opinion children shall be condemned for their parents actions, right?

Now how can you say that when in your opinion, "God picks every egg to be fertilized"?

It's not my opinion, the Bible says, "God himself has chosen you to be born."
"Not of flesh, not of blood, not of man's will, but by the will of God is a man born.

Several other verses too to back my beliefs up. I won't go on and on.

Well I don't know anything about the documentary or the details, if it helped you I guess that's good for you. I personally hand pick, as I'm sure you do too, the people I let counsel and guide me for I don't want the lost or blind leading me, because I have been warned.

I'm not calling any certain person lost or blind that we're discussing here.

It was on HBO and it's shown periodically, if you ever get the chance to watch it, I highly recommend it. I have no idea what your stance is on gay couple's rights but I don't think you (not YOU, you, just people in general) can watch it and not be touched or learn something from it.

I've read about it, but haven't gotten to see it. I'll keep my eyes open for it, thanks, Shopper.

And the verse goes onto say, "nor a child to be condemned for their parents sins."

But isn't the pain of childbirth the punishment brought upon us for Eve's sin?

I realize your beliefs, Kool. I was just trying to figure out how you can believe the above, but say this:

Then it would have been best that he'd not ever been born, considering his eternal destination and had not repented or already been turned over to a reprobate mind.

I believe this too. I also believe we pick our parents and our soul groups and nothing happens by accident, even this conversation.
It's how we experience our life that is up to us.
We can choose to live our lives in the moment and enjoy the good times and learn from the bad times. Too many people live their lives worrying about what will happen when they die.
Rosie's main message has been to live with each other with respect for our differences. If you really listen to her, that's all she wanted.

Interesting read on possible replacements for Rosie.

Of those mentioned in the article, my choices are (in no particular order):

Sherri Shepherd
Marie Osmond
Wanda Sykes
Whoopi
Sharon Osbourne

I like most of the people mentioned, except Roseanne. But the above are my favorites.

I think Wanda Sykes is hilarious, but don't think she's a talk show kind of gal.

I love Whoopi. Strong minded woman, smart, holds strong opinions... nah, on second thought, she'd probably end up like Rosie did. :D

I appreciate your mentioning this to me. I'm sure there are things to learn and liken to our own lives. Afterall, they are human beings, we all go through very similar experiences, round and round we go, when will it stop, nobody knows.

It stops when we begin to have our eyes and ears opened, truly opened. Seeing her life in the condition it appears to be in, sadly, somethings wrong there. I'm no expert, but I can see it. I pray for the very best for her though.

My feelings on homosexuality, I'll just say I believe in one man, and one woman, the very first institution God united and put together, modeling for us what his will is for us.

I appreciate your discussion.

I don't know about everyone, but I do think a lot of people don't see their own value. And I think a lot of that is based on arbitrary thresholds.

I also think that most people do the best they can in life. It may not look like it to you or me, but from their eyes, it is.

I think there's a place for Rosie, and she does a lot of good being the way she is. Her place just may not be on the View! :)

WHOA! That was deep. I agree with everything you said. :)

Great post, csds. And I agree with you. (The part I put in bold is something that I struggle with.)

Thank God she is gone, whoaaaa! She is so loud and obnoxious! Don't really watch the show anymore so guess anyone would be better than Rosie!

I'm with you. Different strokes for different folks :D

Ita about Wanda. I just think they need someone who will go toe-to-toe with Elisabeth. NOT that I think EH should be silenced, just someone who is as passionate about the same things she is, and not crap like "the Bachelor" or "American Idol". Joy and Barbara just seem to tolerate her and snap at her from time to time, they don't really debate with her.

You know, I should probably admit... that I've never seen this tv show!
:D :D

I used to watch Rosie's show sometimes. I liked it.
