Putin ally calls for Alaska's return to Russia
Vladimir Solovyov called for the U.S. state's return to Russia after Russian military aircrafts recently entered international airspace close to Alaska.www.newsweek.com
The US cannot keep piping up about being the arbiter of peace throughout the world, promising all those countries, regardless of where they are in the world, that their presence is not only a protection for the US but also for their allies. What is the point of the US spending trillions of dollars on military bases throughout the world if when the rubber hits the road the US starts whining about how much money they are spending? What's the point? This is the first time in history since WW2 that the US is reneging on deals they've made with countries to cement their commitment to a foreign country to protect them for the malign influence of Russia. The military equipment sitting in NATO countries like Poland is there to protect NATO countries on the eastern flank. Poland isn't stupid enough to believe that Putin will stop at Ukraine. The world has come to realize that US help is transactional under Donald Trump. He couldn't give a **** about Ukraine if he doesn't get a piece of the pie. On a micro level he gives the impression he wouldn't help an old lady cross the street unless she paid him. On the macro level he's willing to let Putin take over Ukraine over a perceived slight. If commitment is that elastic under Trump why doesn't the US just pull up stakes? They can't be relied on anymore. The US can't be considered the leader of free world when there is a clear and present danger of Putin taking all of Ukraine and the only way he could that is with either Trump's help or his inaction.I respectfully disagree. President Trump is trying to bring peace and an end to the war. Yes, it's money, because every bomb that is lobbed back and forth, every piece of equipment used daily costs. What a waste of money. President Trump is not responsible if Zelensky, Putin and the whole rest of Europe, Africa, Brazil, UK et et can't agree. Also among those who have already tried to negotiate peace, the Pope, the head of UN, the head of Nato, the leaders of Eu and any other person or group of people are equally not responsible if WW3 starts. If you read about how many peace proposals have been brought to Zelensky and Putin, you would understand. I haven't counted them, because it's dizzying the back and forth. JMO MOO
Yep, all his buddies will be drill, drill, drill, baby and cut the forests and mine all that coal, and whatever else is there to plunder. Teddy Roosevelt will be turning in his grave. I always remember the sheer entitlement of Bundy the rancher, who still grazes his cattle on BLM land and still hasn't paid for the right. So if Bundy can get away with that I can't even imagine just how decimated these national parks will be under Trump. He has no concept of anything other than how he benefits. His god is money. He's looking at our National Parks!IMO
He needs to be exterminated like the cockroach he is. It would be poetic retribution for many countries who have felt the sting of Putin. That's a point. One way to end the war is if some secret mission could capture Putin - he is a wanted war criminal with an arrest out for him. Has no one considered that? A secret mission?JMO MOO

The US government fiscal year runs October to September so all the funds allocated to Ukraine were already agreed upon at the beginning of the fiscal year. How is it that Trump can unilaterally decide he's not going to provide those funds?
President Trump is our 45th and 47th president. What is #47 please?

In the time that peace negotiations were initiated back in 2022, how many Ukraine military and civilian lives were lost. How many Russian military and civilians. Don't they count too? While we can sit safely in our homes and discuss (and some spew hatred for President Trump), we are not directly involved. An old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink is apropos. There have been many countries trying to negotiate peace, yet you choose to hate on the USA. So be it, I respect your opinion, but we are not in charge, Zelensky and Putin are in charge. I remember ten years of Vietnam, what a waste of lives to only end up giving up. JMO MOO
I think the point has always been that the war cannot end unless Russia just goes home. Then there is no war. They have invaded. Ukraine are not "fighting a war" they are "defending their country" - ANY country would do that if they were invaded. They are trying to protect themselves (and yes, dying in the process). They are trying to protect their country from being taken over by a Dictator who will remove all trace of their culture and make it a Russian culture. In the time that peace negotiations were initiated back in 2022, how many Ukraine military and civilian lives were lost. He hates Zelensky because Zelensky didn't side with him over Biden many years ago. JMO MOO
Hmmmm, and here I thought people wanted the war to end.Absolute no impact. Just a pretty piece of paper.
But, but, but he wants a Nobel Peach prize, doncha know? Got a funny way of going about it, huh?IMO #47 should just step away and let the diplomats who know how to diplomat take care of the peace talks with Russia and Ukraine. IMO
