Russians reportedly bringing bio-chem weapon suits into Ukraine, US official says
A senior administration official told ABC News Friday that the U.S. is getting reports the Russians are starting to bring in biochemical weapon suits into Ukraine.

The reports comes as the Russians accuse Ukraine and the U.S. of developing biochemical weapons, which the U.S. has denied.

"We believe it is an ominous sign they are possibly doing it for cover," the official said.

According to the official, as much as one-fifth of the Russian force is currently "inoperable," meaning they are either dead, wounded or do not have the support or equipment needed to continue.

But even though the Russians are bogged down they realize that everything depends on taking Kyiv and continue to put all effort into that, according to the official.

There are also concerns about boxing Putin in as well as his consistent and casual mention of nuclear weapons. According to the official, that is one of the reasons he has not been publicly labeled as a war criminal because "we just don't know what he will do."

Marie Yovanovitch Sends a Message to Putin with Bracelet | PEOPLE.com
March 11, 2022
''Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch had a four-letter message to send Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday — all without saying anything at all.

Appearing on Thursday's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 63-year-old Yovanovitch wore a beaded bracelet featuring the phrase "F--- You Putin."

Yovanovitch was on the show to promote her new memoir, Lessons From the Edge, when Colbert said he "noticed you have a bracelet there, a rather unusual bracelet."

"If you don't want to say it, I just noticed what it says," he said.

Yovanovitch wryly responded: "I'm going to let you say it, because I'm the diplomat."

"It says, 'F--- you, Putin,' " the host told her.''

Biological weapons (international.gc.ca)
''The nature and severity of biological threats has grown in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic has now highlighted the potentially catastrophic impacts of a deliberate biological event. Unknown viruses affected almost every country, sector and population. Concerns are growing that the pandemic’s unprecedented scale and reach could inspire terrorists and states of proliferation concern to turn to biological weapons. UN Secretary General Guterres has underscored this threat, warning that:

terrorist groups may see a window of opportunity to strike while the attention of most governments is turned towards the pandemic … (and) the weaknesses and lack of preparedness exposed by this pandemic provide a window onto how a bioterrorist attack might unfold – and may increase its risks. Non-state groups could gain access to virulent strains that could pose similar devastation to societies around the globe”.

Bioterrorism (interpol.int)
"Bioterrorism refers to the intentional release of biological agents or toxins for the purpose of harming or killing humans, animals or plants with the intent to intimidate or coerce a government or civilian population to further political or social objectives."INTERPOL Bioterrorism incident pre-planning and response guide''

The Pentagon: Ukraine has managed to preserve 80% of its Air Force in spite of Russian strikes. We now reportedly have 56 fighter fighter jets. 5 to 10 sorties a day against 200 Russian sorties. Not bad, ladies and gentlemen, not bad.

: Ukraine does not have a biological weapons program. There are no Ukrainian biological weapons laboratories supported by the United States – not near Russia’s border or anywhere.

Ukraine’s nuclear power agency said more diesel fuel had been delivered to the former Chernobyl plant north of Kyiv, meaning backup generators could continue powering efforts to monitor and safeguard the large amount of radioactive waste there.

Online detectives discover the identity of Russian soldiers

"Profile can be found in minutes Bright also tried the tactic. With a free trial of the Russian software FindClone, we were able to find the profile of a Russian soldier captured by Ukraine in 2014 on VKontakte in a few minutes. That is a popular social media website in Russia."

" The technology does not yet work perfectly, which means that some people may be misidentified."

“The more individuals that are publicly identified and know that they are being followed by the OSINT community, the less likely they are to commit war crimes.”

Russia Is Now Claiming the US Trained Birds to Deliver Ukrainian Bioweapons

The Kremlin’s efforts to convince its citizens that Ukraine is the real aggressor are becoming increasingly desperate.

[...]

For example, the Kremlin’s latest claim is that the U.S. has trained an army of migratory birds to carry bioweapons developed by the Ukrainian army, and that said birds are preparing to fly into Russia and deploy those bioweapons.

This message wasn’t seeded on some fringe message board by a conspiracy theory-addled extremist: It was boosted by Major General Igor Konashenkov, the chief spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, who was speaking on camera Thursday about this outrageous (and entirely fictional) plot.

There’s no point really engaging in this delusion, but, for the record, birds cannot be trained to attack targets in Russia, or anywhere else, with bioweapons.

Pigeons were famously used in both World Wars for sending communications and there was also Project Pigeon, a U.S. Army experiment in which pigeons were trained to sit inside missiles in an attempt to guide the weapons to their targets. It never worked.

(...)

He claimed that the U.S. was researching how to use birds, bats, and reptiles as vectors for spreading deadly diseases such as anthrax and African swine fever.

(...)

The documents released Thursday contain nothing to back up the claims Konashenkov made, yet they’re already being shared widely on far-right and conspiracy channels on the encrypted messaging platform Telegram as further “proof” that Putin’s actions are justified. The documents have been posted in groups supporting the trucker convoys as well as numerous QAnon-linked channels.

And this is exactly what the Kremlin wants.

UPDATE 1-Russian economy in 'shock' from unprecedented economic war - Kremlin

The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russia's economy was experiencing a shock and that measures were being taken to soften the impact of what it described as an "absolutely unprecedented" economic war being waged against Moscow.

The West has imposed sweeping sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

"Our economy is experiencing a shock impact now and there are negative consequences, they will be minimised," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.

He described the situation as turbulent, but said that measures to calm and stabilise it were already being taken.

"This is absolutely unprecedented. The economic war that has started against our country has never taken place before. So it is very hard to forecast anything."

Interpol is restricting Russia’s ability to input information directly into the global police organization’s vast network, deciding that communications must first be checked by the general secretariat in Lyon, France.

The French Foreign Ministry said Friday that the beefed-up surveillance measures follow “multiple suspicions of attempted fraudulent use” of the Interpol system in recent days, but it did not elaborate.

Interpol stressed in a statement Thursday that it is maintaining its pledge of neutrality amid war between two of its members, triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But it said that “heightened supervision and monitoring measures” of Moscow’s National Central Bureau were needed “to prevent any potential misuse of Interpol’s channels” like targeting individuals in or outside Ukraine.

Video analysis reveals Russian attack on Ukrainian nuclear plant veered near disaster

There's a terrorist attack being planned by Russians at Chernobyl, according to Ukraine Ministry of Defense.

"Russian forces in control of the plant "refused to grant access to the station to Ukrainian repair people," Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said in the statement on Friday. Among the engineers sent from Belarus, it claimed, were Russian "saboteurs" pretending to be nuclear scientists who came "to organize a terrorist attack."
