Growing up and going to church in the south, I hate to say it....but, alot (not all) of churches there, are nothing more than social clubs, anyway. You show up once a week, with your new dress on...and your fake acrylic fingernails....and your children have their new suits and dresses on, little girls with their hair curled...with frilly dresses, like they are going to a beauty pageant. That sums up one of the churches that we used to attend in SC. Needless to say, we didn't go there for long....the people there were so fake. So, John being seen in church, in Atlanta, and going as a business move, isn't so far fetched. I have seen it many, MANY times before.

absolutely..I remember from a business class I took,they talk about the need to give to charity,to be been seen out in the community doing good,etc.,for the sake of business.
edited to add..sounds like JR,doesnt' it? he tried to maintain a good public image by being seen at church,going on cnn,writing DOI,etc.

Its all about appearance to some people.
