Hmm...I had read that the Bible was open to Psalm 35, it was the Bible on John Ramsey's desk I believe. I might be wrong though.

In Psalm 118 though you do find this passage:

27 The Lord is God,
and he has made his light to shine upon us.
Bind the festal sacrifice with cords,
up to the horns of the altar!
It was an open bible next to the bed...."I called upon the Lord in my distress: the Lords answered me, and set me in a large place"

To me it is a good scripture for someone to "hold on to" that had cancer. IMHO I think that's why it was opened there. I read somewhere also..in the past ten years who can remember everywhere they read something..that the maid said she saw Patsy's bible open to that passage quite often.

Another handrwriting expert says its a match:
http://www.jacksonvilleprogress.com/homepage/local_story_231172845.html?keyword=leadpicturestory

Local handwriting expert Don Lehew, of Mt. Selman, has obtained several samples of John M. Karr’s handwriting, as well as, a copy of the Ramsey ransom note, and according to his analysis, they are all written by the same person. Lehew compared the ransom note to an old yearbook entry by Karr and an employment application Karr filled out when applying for a teaching job.

“I have seen enough similarities in the samples and the ransom note to be convinced that the person who wrote this (the yearbook entry) is the same person who wrote this (the ransom note),” Lehew said. “A colleague of mine and I spoke together about the samples, and we found 13 separate similarities that are, in many cases, very unusual, and that makes it a match to me. It certainly indicates to me that John Karr did write the ransom note.”
What previously looked like a snowball's chance in hell, is now gaining a semblance of credilbility. This looked like such a long shot--the DNA should be back, possibly tomorrow. Wish I knew where they sent it for analysis.

Jersey it was Psalm 118. Her bible was opened to Psalm 118 and it was also read at the funeral from what I have read in the past

Thanks cat,

I thought the Bible was open to Psalm 35 but

Check this out...I just searched Psalm 118 and found some info:

The Center of the Bible
This is pretty strange or odd how it worked out this way. Even if you are not religious, you should read this.

What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalm 117

What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalm 119

Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118. There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118. Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

What is the center verse in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 118:8

Maybe the numbers 1-1-8 meant something to the killer?

Slueths right, it wasn't PRs bible, it was JR's and it wasn't open to Psalm 118.
The 118 comes in, in relation to the RN>

Yes, it has been brought up heaps, but in relation to the RN.
The Bible was not open to Pslam 118.

Buzz, it still is a snowballs chance in hell.
This was never a DNA case, and the DNA won't match regardless.

Tex...I did know that but thanks for reminding me. My husband is an Old Testament Scholar of sorts and had pointed that out to me a while back...

Because it would have been too obvious: "I just woke up, and my daughter's skull is crushed!". Patsy's a dramatic person, and this fits right in with her style.

It gave them a chance to invite all their friends over to contaminate the scene and didn't make them as immediately suspect as they would have been if she'd been found in her bed.

It may have been to direct the search AWAY from the house. They may have even planned to sneak Jonbenet's body out of the house later, and it was only when they figured out that LE was NOT going to be leaving the house any time soon that John decided to "find" the body.

The Ramsey's had absolutely no way to know that the police would be so incompetent that they would permit people to wonder through the crime seen.
I really don't think its a huge stretch that they called their very close friends in such a moment of truama. I don't think its odd to need emotional support or to seek the advice who may be able to think more clearly then you when your child is presumed missing.
In any case it is the police that should have known not to corrupt the scene NOT the R's. Maybe many of us would think of that since as a hobby we read about crimes but I doubt that most would.

Ok, I still don't think that is right lol, but maybe I have got it wrong.
I apologise for my half too, but I'm not entirely convinced and don't have time right now to double check.
I think it comes in because of the RN figure and the 'being tied with cords/sacrifice' bit...

They had each other for comfort, funny thing though, neither was comforting the other.
They called their friends in to confuse the scene, it's that simple.

Well, Wolf Blitzer just had a guy on who's an expert who said that there was no match. He said another expert agreed. So, that's two to rule him out. I remind everyone that Patsy was NEVER ruled out.
she was too ruled out. I have seen numerous interviews of handwriting experts saying she was not the author. Just not the experts you believe or hold any stock in. It's a case of dueling experts.....period.

<<Never say never narlacat, it always comes back to bite us.>>

That's true Buzz.

I will be the first one to come and admit it if I'm wrong.

I won't have to though lol.

Thanks Sleuth..you helped me in more ways then you know. I read in your first link about "the blood sacrifice" theory. Do you know what another conincidence...Exodus chapter 7 in the bible is regarding the plague of the waters turning to blood. He has a son named Seven Exodus.

If anyone cares to do a google search on "the meaning of exodus seven" you can find a whole lot of things regarding that meaning.

I am the first to admit my head is spinning. I truly have never believed it was an outsider. There are so many weird coincidences here.

I pray for the truth..one way or the other.

Karr could be freed for lack of any evidence, not simply lack of dna evidence. If this is the case, I could see the course of the investigation reverting to what has been the status quo thus far, that is, that the dna trace found in the panties is likely just the result of a sneezing Asian factory worker. Also, there is evidence of staging. Also, the R's are not cleared.

Taking Karr out of the picture does not make it any less likely that there was staging involved in the crime.

so how is it that the sneezing factory workers DNA also got under the fingernails of JBR? there is a report that states that the two were a match. No before you tell me my reports was wrong....there is just a big of chance that your report that said it was not a match is wrong.soooooo, we're stuck with dueling experts again.
