Amir Jennings has been missing since Thanksgiving of 2011.

Amir's mother, Zinah Jennings, has been in jail while law enforcement officials work leads to find her missing son.

Amir Jennings will be 2 years old on Thursday. He's been missing since Thanksgiving of last year.

Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott they are still investigating every tip, but no one knows where Amir is at this point.

Where is Amir Jennings?
Amir Jennings has been missing since November 24. His mother, Zinah Jennings, remains in jail.

No one, that is, except Amir's mother, Zinah Jennings, who is now 7 months pregnant with her second child.

Zinah has been in jail since December and was charged with unlawful conduct of a child. She's been in solitary confinement since an incident with a nurse over medication earlier this month.

Zinah's attorney, Hemphill Pride, says it's tough for Zinah in jail, but it's also a bittersweet time for the family since they are left only imagining what 2-year-old Amir looks like now, how many teeth he has, if he's started talking, or if he's even alive.

"There are no leads; no reports from the Solicitor's office. There are no reports from law enforcement," Pride said.

More of the same at link, nothing new.

Mother of missing child appears in Richland court

A pregnant Zinah Jennings appeared in court Monday for a hearing where a judge is considering multiple pre-trial motions.

[snip]

Knox ruled that Jennings’s statements to investigators can be used in her trial. That trial will be later in the summer.

In those statements, Jennings told a Columbia Police Department investigator that she had left the child in the custody of his biological father. She told them the man, who was a Dreher High School graduate, lived in an apartment complex on Garners Ferry Road. But the investigator said he determined Jennings made up the name.

The judge also will allow Assistant Solicitor Dolly Justice Garfield to use statements Jennings gave to two investigators during a two-hour interview the night she was arrested. Details of that interview were not presented in court.

It's not right that her attorney is trying to get the blanket thrown out of evidence!

In the trunk, police say they found bloodstains belonging to Jennings' missing son, Amir. Pride says anyone could have accessed the car in the days between the wreck and when police retrieved the car from a salvage lot.

Yeah, and anyone could have access to the blood of her missing son...?
