Hearing to bring Orangeburg father charged with murder back to SC set for next month

Antar Jeter, 47, is charged with killing the mother of his child then taking the girl to another state.

Court records show Antar Jeter, 47, made an appearance before a judge Tuesday in Danville, Virginia, where he was arrested last week. He'll next be in court on January 12 for an extradition hearing, which will be to determine if he should be sent back to South Carolina.

Jeter is charged with with murder for the killing of Crystal Jumper, 46, who is the mother of his five-year-old daughter <modsnip>

Funeral service set for Orangeburg mother found dead on Thanksgiving Day​

The funeral for 46-year-old Crystal Jumper <modsnip> will be held at 1 p.m. on January 7, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, according to the Thompson Funeral Home website. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. on the same day.

Antar Jeter extradited back to South Carolina, charged in murder of child’s mother

A man charged in the murder of his child’s mother is back in South Carolina.

He is facing murder charges and a grand larceny charge in the theft of the vehicle. Bond was deferred to a hearing on Wednesday to a circuit court judge. His first court appearance is set for Feb. 27th.

"News19 contacted the first solicitor's office for updates on Antar Jeter's trial but did not receive a response. The Orangeburg County jail confirmed that Jeter is being housed there but did not have information regarding when the trial would take place."
