Hey Saw...Wasn't that Bob the psychic guy the one over on OneBigGroup? I understand he had a MS page but that it is now gone.

I never understood why he needed "clearance" from the PD to give out his information...since none of it is really specific.

I'm sure that DD has been innundated by psychics...However, I wonder if DD has contacted Noreen Renier. She's very good and has a proven track record.

I also wonder if LE has given any thoughts to the forensic astrology charts that have been prepared on WS in the BD case. (For those that don't know - Astrology and psychic readings are 2 totally seperate things)

Keeping Brittanee in thoughts and prayers.

The link is to a story posted a while ago. I found this comment interesting:

"john1o2 wrote:
They need to checking out near Conway, SC. She may have been lured by someone and is near the CCU area."

Why would someone say something so specific? I don't think I've heard anything about a search in this area.

And, yes, Bob is on the onebiggroup board. He went there after KMT started it because topix was so obnoxious.

That comment is interesting and does seem to be specific - as if this person has some kind of knowledge.

Could this be someone from the "college party" alluding to something?

Don't know why someone would pinpoint the CCU area, when where she went missing from is the biggest college party ever. Sure there are all kinds everywhere and it could be a possibility, but hopefully the police have a pretty good profile on what type of person they are looking for.

I am sure CCU and Horry Tech would accomodate posters/flyers for Brittanee if need be.

My daughter is a student at CCU and I attend Horry Tech.

have you seen Dawn's myspace lately she has nothing about her daughter just how she loves her soldier a new man I guess http://www.myspace.com/bemibabe

  • #527
That is just horrible, she has nothing about Brittanee on there whatsoever?

As a parent, that would be all I could think about is my missing child. My children are my world and if I were in Dawn's shoes I sure as heck would be doing everything in my power to find my child. It doesn't matter how old the child is or what has happened in the past.

Doesn't look like her myspace has changed much since Brit went missing.

I think if you want to go to this website you will have to copy and paste the above.
I am not at all sure when these radio broadcasts took place. I tried looking at the page I was on, but did not see a date. I had just googled Dawn Drexel and this came up the other day. I was doing this to see if she had given any recent interviews about the progress of the search for her daughter. The first one labeled "20 Questions" is about 15minutes long. The second one is "Name Calling and Hair Pulling", but has more about Chris Rock than Dawn or Brittanee. Then they evidently called Dawn to get her take on the things being alleged about her and the family and the fundraising "funds" and that one is labeled "New Development in the Brittanee Drexel Case". It is about 35 minutes long but they interviewed her but never point blank ask her the name of the private investigator she said she has paid 11,000.00. I do not go in for this bashing of a mother in this situation, and you can tell these radio personalities are trying really hard not to buy into it, but she is not doing a lot right now to help her image, in my opinion.

Also, I first went to MB when I was 14 years old. My best friend and her parents took me there for a week. That was back in the late 60's (don't mind telling my age). You will never believe what happened to us way back then. We would walk the 10 blocks to the Pavillion about 3 times a day without parents. Keep in mind this was in the 60's. On one such walk a man pulled over and was asking if we knew where a certain street was. I saw he was sort of twisting in the seat and I told my friend to run. She stayed just long enough to see him expose himself. We have talked about that for years and wondered why we did not tell a policeman or her dad so he could call them. We later told them, but don't remember what they did. I have been there on vacations with my girlfriends (in my 20's). Every "boy/guy" we met had a story/line. We always traveled around down there together though. Then after I married we would be taking our daughter many, many times since. I think back on the people I've met and I remember people from Ohio, PA, FL, etc., etc. I am from VA and back in the 70's and 80's, it was nothing to run into a neighbor or two while you were either down on the beach or even at one of their restaurants. So I think Brittanee could have met someone from anywhere and gotten lured to go with them. It could have been someone from almost anywhere. Although, it seems more likely would have been either a local or someone very familiar with the outlying areas. Of course this my opinion.

I'm am not putting her down in any way I feel very bad for this family but I would think she would have a missing picture flyer or something up on one of the biggest social networks just incase. I wish B and her family all the best and I pray to god she is ok.

News article today. Tomorrow is the 5 month anniversary of BD's disappearance. In about 2 weeks is her 18th birthday.

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/09/24/crimesider/entry5334752.shtml

Sure would have been nice if that article had some new information instead of just pulling from old articles...

Some cases I've followed before...if things go cold...LE will throw out a few "morsels" to get people interested and talking again... I wonder why this hasn't really been done in BD's case.

It's sad that no one has even given any kind of update...even if the only thing there is to say is there is no update... It would be nice to hear from someone in the "know" - whether that's LE or family or a family spokesperson.

I agree this was on the scnow website. I was surprised it was old info too, but the pics I hadn't seen before. Maybe tomorrow some thing more will come out. It seems LE gave up very early on this case.

There's always the thought that BD may turn up after her 18th birthday as well, if you buy into the theory that she ran away to begin with.

I'm not one of those who buy into that theory... However, I really, really, really, really, really, hope what you mentioned happens!

5 months ago today she was on the beach with her friends, relaxing in the sun. 5 months ago today she talked to her mother on the phone, I love yous were exchanged. 5 months ago today she made sure her hair and makeup were perfect. 5 months ago today she was only worrying about having a good time, one more great day on Spring Break. 5 months ago today she had no idea she wasn't going home tomorrow. 5 months ago today she didn't know she would be abducted that evening. 5 months ago today her boyfriend would be the last person to hear her voice before she was taken. 5 months ago today her boyfriend was the last one to get her text before she vanished. 5 months ago today she disappeared without a trace. 5 months ago today she didn't know how many people would care and how many people would begin looking and that they will never give up.

5 MONTHS AGO TODAY BRITTANEE MARIE DREXEL WENT MISSING FROM MYRTLE BEACH, SC. She was 17, 103 LBS, 4'11" w/brown hair, blonde highlights, blue/green eyes and a tiny build. She was from Rochester, NY. She can look differently based on how her hair is colored or styled. Please help bring her back home!

I have pictures of her different looks on my profile.

KC, that made me cry. I don't know if you realize that I used to take Brittanee home from school for about 3 months. The last time I saw her was about a week before spring break. She usually needed a ride once or twice a week. She was always bubbly and seemed happy. Soooo excited about junior prom. Even called a friend on the way home to ask about getting a limo. If you think this is too personal, let me know and I'll remove it asap.

Not at all Sawbuck44....My entire intent here is to raise awareness and to put concern for Brittanee in the heart of as many people as possible. Obviously not everyone knows her like that, but it is the ability to see her like that, as a normal 17 yr old w/o a care in the world, enjoying life that I wanted people to see and think about-hoping it would make them remember something or just to spread awareness that she is still out there. We can't let this die down.

Until it has been proven otherwise, I will always believe she is somewhere out there alive and will come home to her family one day. As we all do, I want that child home with her family and friends. It is unbearable to let myself think of the possibilities and so I cannot even think what her family has to do to occupy their minds during these difficult times.

I know most Walmarts around here have flyers for missing children on their bulletin boards at their entrances. I wonder if there is a way to get Walmart to have a flyer put up in all of their stores? Sounds like a huge undertaking, but not sure if the ones they have are just put there by individuals who know the missing children or if some organization puts them up at certain stores. I cannot think of anyone I know who does not go to Walmart on occasion. Any thoughts on this? I was thinking maybe they have some sort of "inter-store email" that could come from their corporate office and could send it out and have every store print it and put it up. Just wondering if it could be a possibility.
