This scenario does make sense as PB would have had time to participate in picking her up along the way to the "party", go on to whatever happened and then get back to the hotel and pack up and hit the road by the time that has been stated he left, which I think was 1 a.m. But if she supposedly disappeared within 7 minutes after leaving that BWR, the guys would have had to leave right after she left the BWR walking, possibly going right to their car and catching up with her on the road before she had time to reach the second webcam. If there really was a party, the girls that were down there either were not invited or chose not to go. Don't think they had much interaction with this particular group of guys like Brittanee seemed to have. Could be since there was more than one guy in the car, as seen by this psychic, they overpowered her and put her in the car against her will and PB and his "group" were not involved.

Does anyone know the date that Maury was going to air a segment about Brittanee? I read someone posted he was taping it, but did not see if it had already been on TV.

Debbie, I noticed in reading about this case you posted about Kate Waring that her body was discovered by a private investigator. I cannot help but wish a really, really good private investigator was working on BD's case. Not sure if there is still one working for Dawn, but I sure hope they don't give up. Thanks for posting this sad but interesting case.

I haven't heard anymore on a PI working BD's case. It seems just a mention of it and nothing since.

It is entirely possible that the family has retained the services of a PI, but are unable to fund full, active use of him on an ongoing basis (the expenses added on to the retainer fees can get unaffordable for the average person pretty fast in these types of cases unless the use of their services is rationed out, so to speak).

I met BD's Grandparents today. They where set up in the parking lot of BigM in Brockport They had fliers and magnets and other stuff .. collecting donations to help fund the search for BD. I asked if there was any new leads or news and her Grandpa said sadly "no". He went on to tell me that the 25 th of this month marks 6 months that she has been gone. And how they spent so much time in MB walking the streets looking for her at all different hours of the day and night. And how it is crazy in MB and that even at 3am they seen young girls at 14 and 15 yrs old walking all alone on the beach.
It was heartbreaking listening to him ..I just wanted to hug them and cry. I told them that I was praying for her to come home soon. It was soo very sad, I cried on my way home.

Too bad, there isn't a PI that can work this Pro Bono. I think with the economical hardtimes we are all facing, it makes it impossible.

with the teenage traffiking, especially with that one report from MBPD's reports that was pasted on this thread of the grandaughter who got away from the man that said he was going to take her where she could make money.

In a Flash, these people are experienced and can more than likely nab girls with no one noticing anything. That is the scarey part.

Oh my goodness. The one thing that has upset me almost more than anything is seeing Brittanee's grandma trying to hold it together while she made pleas in the news or tried to talk on camera about her grandbaby girl. Oh how I wish we could help bring Brittanee home to them.

Sorry if this has been posted before. But if not .. they talk to a fathers of missing kids. CD is on it and says some new things that i have never heard. Like calls to DD from a drug dealer saying he knows where BD is... and towards the end of the talk show he mentions about teen trafficking and PB being a drug dealer.

Three Myrtle Beach areas searched again today for Brittanee:

For close to five hours Monday, the searchers scoured a two-block, wooded lot between Yaupon Drive and Kings Highway from 17th Avenue South to 19th Avenue South; a piece of property on 18th Avenue South near an abandoned cinema and backing up to the AVX Corporation; and a large area on the old Myrtle Beach Airforce Base.

"We're just re-searching target locations in the area where she was last seen, and of course utilitizing search dogs with the CUE Center and getting assistance from the FBI," said Lt. Chuck Capp with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

I still think she's probably in a rural area near the last known place of her cellphone but obviously LEO know more about the case.

Wonder what lead them to search that specific area...

Notice Capp makes the statement - area where she was last seen... I thought she was last seen on OB not over on 17...

Myrtle Beach police, FBI agents, and searchers with the CUE Center for Missing Persons wrapped up a search for missing teenager, Brittanee Drexel, Monday afternoon.

Monica Caison with the CUE Center says investigators wanted to search a few places in Myrtle Beach to make sure there were no clues there. Lt. Chuck Capp with the Myrtle Beach Police Dept. says the area they searched on Monday had been investigated before, but they wanted to re-visit the area in the cooler weather. He says cooler temperatures are more advantageous for the search dogs to detect any clues.

The areas searched on Monday include: Yaupon Drive near Kings Highway, 19th Ave. South off of Kings Highway, and the former Air Force Base in Myrtle Beach.

Caison and Capp say they were able to eliminate these areas for any possible leads, as the search did not produce any new information.

The CUE Center plans another big search for Drexel this weekend (Oct. 17-18). Caison says no search is planned for the missing teen until then. Capp says they will be looking in the Myrtle Beach area and Georgetown County, places that have previously been searched.

Yes, according to everything I have read and the interview posted with her father she was last seen near Ocean Boulevard and 7th Avenue. A camera would have recorded her walking on OB near 11th toward her hotel if she had continued that way but it didn't so that's why her dad thinks she was taken somewhere between 7th and 11th on OB.

Chili -

I guess I should have explained a little more... I was meaning Hwy 17/Kings Hwy - which is between 2 and 3 blocks away from OB to the West if you are using side streets.

OB connects with Hwy 17 about 2 miles from where the BWR is located on OB.

7th and 11th are side streets connecting OB to Hwy 17 - but about 3 blocks from OB on one of those side streets to get to Hwy 17.

And the former Airforce base is quite a bit aways...it would be more than a very long walk!

Hope that wasn't confusing... Sorry!

Does anyone know if OB street cams were checked for BD going the other way on OB (further south) instead of north?

It's not likely that she would have walked that way, but just curious.

I would imagine that they were checked to illiminate the possibility.
