Found Deceased SC - Brittanee Drexel, 17, Myrtle Beach, 25 April 2009 - #7

I did a twitter search and the last tweet mentioning her name is that her mother is helping morgan harringtons family....I think I am going to delete my posts, and just lay down and pray and check in the morning. I am so sorry I got everyones hopes up, mine are too, but i dont want to leave info that is just rumor at this point up on the thread......Prayers for Brittanee and her family. how wild would it be for her to be somewhere besides water? I wonder if I'll sleep...???

Kelly I've never known you to share info that you didn't trust to be truthful. Even if this turns out to be incorrect, you brought it here because you believed your source and trusted your source.

There is only a rumor on twitter from someone who heard it here. there are no recent tweets re brittanee..

Its easy to search her name on twitter and get real time results....nada, yet...

All you need to do is put in her name where the search bar is on the right side of your home page and all tweets mentioning her name come up..

Thank you Kellync. I"m not sure why I'm crying because I had said before that I wanted her found, either way. My heart is breaking for Brittanee and her mom, as well as the rest of the people that loved her. I guess no matter what there's always a small part of you that still hopes.

This is very sad. I have been on the phone with the girls I know in the area. They insist that she has been found and that a person confessed. he is from Charleston. Brittanee got in the car with him at a gas station in Socastee and that he was involved in harming another child years ago, but they didnt have enough evidence to prosecute. The e mail I recieved before my phone call said this:
"They found her in a old barn just down the rd from my moms house. We have pulled over in front of that old barn several times since she has been missing. its just down the rd from the old store we go to all the time. Makes me feel sick!
How sad thats where her life ended!

FWIW..Tricia, please delete if necessary, but I tend to now believe this since I have talked to 2 people in the immediate area this morning...

Thanks for the info Kelly. I guess what I wonder about is would be why would she go inland to Socastee and how she got there.

Kelly - it just may take some time for the proper identification to be made after all this time. You know they need that before they can say or even alert the family to the situation out of a moral obligation to be absolutely sure. Don't feel bad. Whatever the outcome, if true a body was found, it will be someone's loved one and should be returned with dignity and surity.

lizzy, I am sorry, please dont cry until we have confirmation. I may be wrong. I sort of hope I am, but I also hope Im not so her family can have her back...Im just waiting for official info like the rest of us. I am only going on the words of 2 locals who happen to be great friends. thats all. So maybe we still should have hope. I am really sorry..

Oh Kellync, please don't be sorry. I think Brittanee's case has hit me harder than the rest because I have a 19 yr old daughter. A little before Brittanee went to Myrtle Beach I had let my daughter go with a friend. I worried so much about her while she was gone. I was blessed that she made it home safe.

I check this board everyday for news on Brittanee so don't be sorry for posting what you heard.
