On Friday, police said they executed a search warrant on a property in the River Falls area in order to find evidence pertaining Henson’s disappearance. In early May, several other areas of interest have been searched which were not previously available to investigators.

Though investigators said they believe Henson is dead, they said new leads could bring closure to Brooke’s family.

In April 2025, the TRPD created a task force dedicated to discovering the truth behind Henson’s disappearance. The task force consists of investigators from the TRPD, the Mauldin Police Department, and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, and is focused solely on locating Henson.

I’m glad that we have a thread on this case as I’ve haven’t heard a follow up. been following. They were bringing in excavation equipment earlier but I haven’t heard an update. I think they know something but that’s just my opinion.

Investigators have unearthed 45 to 50 “pretty weathered” bones in the Homeland Park area of Anderson County, where the children initially discovered a skull on March 29th. The remains could be probably 10-plus years because of the roots that were around the bones, according to a coroner.

Still waiting for more info on the case, like sex, age range, a more accurate PMI, and so forth. Officials has not currently determined if foul play was involved.

Homeland Park is about an hour's drive southwest of Travelers Rest, where Brooke Henson went missing July 4th, 1999.

• Two brothers found a human skull while playing near a creek in South Carolina.
• Authorities later uncovered as many as 50 bones nearby, believed to belong to one person.
