This testimony is brutal to listen to. Teachers from Saxe Gotha Elementary who taught the Jones children can be considered victims in this case too, many of which continue to grapple with their deaths almost five years later.

Stone says Nahtahn told him that whenever he got in trouble at home, his father made him do burpees or run in place. Also, Stone tried to reassure Nahtahn that school was a safe place where he wouldn't need to be afraid.

Now we're hearing from 6 y/o Nahthan's kindergarten teacher, who testified while he always had a smile on his face, he didn't feel like he was always happy. Said he was shocked when Nahtahn showed him how he was punished at home, demonstrating a "burpee."

Nahtahn's teacher tells the jury communication with Tim Jones ceased to exist about halfway through the 2013-14 school year. He also stopped sending home reports of any minor misbehavior in class, because Nahtahn would come to school emotional the next day.
