OT
I tried to reply to the picture of the vehicle in the ditch, but am having trouble.
Thanks for sharing the pic. I apologize to any LE people, but I got a little bit of satisfaction from that pic and not sure why
I suppose it may be because I have been there before and its nice to see it can happen to anyone. The poor soul staring at his vehicle and feeling helpless. Yeah, been there and done that. LOL
There was another time where I was trying to go home from work before the snow got too bad and was only 4 inches. I was on the left side lane and a car in front of me on the right lane started to spin wildly. I couldnt hit my brakes because I knew it was icy by that point, so I got as far left as I could with 2 tires in the grassy median and 2 tires on the road. By the time I was on top of the vehicle in front, they were stopped sideways and as I flew by on the left about 40 MPH missing their car by no more than 2 inches, my stomach was somewhere near my neck. Once I safely passed, I slowed down to about 10 MPH and took the right lane. As all the cars behind me began to pass me on the left, each one that witnessed what had happened gave me a thumbs up and a big smile as they went by. I felt a little bit like Mario Andretti that day and also learned that even going 40 on a snowy highway is not slow enough.
