maybe the closer it gets to Valentines Day will help bring more answers :(

Super Bowl Sunday would be a great day to drink a lot.....:toast: :slapfight: :bigfight: :jail:

But I'm assuming (& hoping others are contacting the tip line like I did) that many people are hearing different versions of the story & that HCPD is piecing them all together to find out what remains consistent throughout all of them.

one would assume all tips are being sent and LE is acting on them in the best way they know how to do it. I wouldn't want their jobs, underfunded and having to swim through a mountain of tips..
I hope this also shines a light on all the other missing.:moo:

I've been thinking about that game that teachers play with their students at an early age to teach them about gossip. The one where you whisper something in the ear of the person next to you & they do the same and so on, and at the end, the original message is all messed up. But usually one thing (the general meaning behind it) remains the same but all the details change. I try to keep that in mind & look for one central theme. [modsnip] But people are def talking and I think if you extract all the specific details... the story doesn't change. So I'm still listening for different versions of the story hoping I can extract the general theme & maybe it will give us a clue as to what might have happened to her.

We used to call this game "Telephone" back in the day...
<which reminds me of an old joke---What are the 3 fastest forms of communication? Telephone, Telefax, and Tell a Woman. :)>

There's no reason for them to publicize anything at this point, especially with all the drama surrounding the case.

Vinny, imo, the silence by HCPD in the Heather Elvis investigation, is the reason for for the drama surrounding this case, as well as the many other unsolved cases.

Wonder if any of these were found on the ground at PTL. In a March 28 twitter pic shows Camel cigarettes next to Heather's pizza taken on her breaktime.

I too believe that LE knows far more than they have revealed. I think this case is similar to the Laci Peterson case:IMO LE has a strong suspect and is just hoping to find the remains to wrap up their case.

The problem IMO is that I believe Heather's Father knows just about everything LE knows. In one of his first posts/interviews he mentions not being alarmed at seeing police at his door because he has a lot of LE friends. Now imagine if you were a friend of this family, accustomed to dropping by, etc....in the face of the horrific pain you see Heathers Dad in...could you remain 100% professionally silent? Could you see his suffering and not try to console him by sharing whatever you have? And would a Father out of his mind with grief not pry everything he could out of a friend that HE knows...KNOWS?

I believe Heathers Dad knows pretty much what happened and that has set the tone for all the other reactions we have seen, including the arrest of his "helpers." Many who support the family are anxious for an arrest, for the guilty to be made to tell where Heather is! I think most of the rest of this tragedy is no mystery...only the location of Heather NOW remains a mystery.

But LE wants to have the best case to present in court. So they are willing to wait awhile...much to the frustration of others.

In the last 30 days, has anyone discussed the skid or tire marks on the pavement, near where the emergency vehicles are, at the search scene (PTL)?

Not skid marks, IMO. They look more like dirt marks when you drive from the [pluff] mud onto the concrete.

MOO, LE botched the entire crime scene from day 1. Was probably their tire tracks anyway! :curses:

TOTALLY agree, unless he was afraid of child support and other property that his wife could get if he's the one that cheated and defaulted on the marriage. If OMM did go out to meet HE, maybe he was followed.

Is it possible the whole scenario is a set up? Can't shake that feeling.

wait, im lost. what scenario? set up? clue me in, please?

I don't know if I believe that Heather's father knows everything. I understand why you think that....but there are different degrees of friend. Just because Terry says the officer was a friend doesn't mean they've known each for 20 years, families have gone on vacation together, blah blah. There are people who call everyone they've had a conversation with a friend. Also, the officer can't just tell Terry everything because they are friends, he would need permission from his boss. I don't think it's as simple as seeing your friend in pain, and then telling them everything...The LE would probably get fired...

Her father has said that LE is not telling him anything, which is more common in these cases, from what I have seen. I think it was when he spoke on JVM show.

In understand your point and also that Terry has stated he is not being told anything. But it is my impression from the totality of his writings that he does know a great deal. I think his statement that belies this...is his way of covering for whomever gave him that info...because, if known, he could get fired.

Twice, in stressful medical situations, we were alerted to results...but told..."I'm not supposed to tell you this, it should come from your Dr."

It is human nature when we see someone suffering as this man is....to perhaps say..."lLook we know who is responsible. We are ON this." And comfort maybe with a few more facts than you really should. In a perfect world, every professional would follow every rule...but, in some cases, it is compassion that causes them to stray from the rules.

Naturally, Terry is not going to want to admit this and cause more trouble for his friends. Two have already been arrested.

In any event, this is just my hunch, based on nothing more than my interpretation of a variety of statements and specific emotions expressed by Heathers Dad.
