Hopefully the facts will come to light...re: this married man and his seemingly vile spouse.

<sniped from article>

Deputies responded and found the man's body with at least one visible gunshot wound, Autry said.

Evans said an autopsy will be conducted on Saturday to determine how the man died.

How do either of these two dead men, Coward, SC or this one, in Piedmont, relate to this case...or is being noted simply because so many remains of dead SC men have turned up lately?

BBM - Amen! Very telling reactions to a cheating husband, his young missing girlfriend, a broken hearted and desperate family seeking answers and a worried community. It would make a trashy cheap read full of lies and deceit, if OMW were to write a book. Probably end up on the bottom shelf at the Dollar General. MVHO

Andddd she wants to, apparently putting Pamela DesBarres to shame. Vile indeed.

Just K, my comment was to focus on the wording. Not sure what Dr Know's intent was. I can't remember this many skeletal remains being located scattered across one State in such a short time frame. SC, seems to be one big body farm, or bone yard..
One set of remains were found by a boy riding his bicycle, one by hunters, one found by the HE volunteer searchers, and the fourth by hikers if my memory is correct..four total..

This is such a great Board and run with rules that are responsible and protective of individuals whose names become associated with various cases. One only has to see the craziness on social media...and the hyper emotionalism that results....to understand why these RULES are essential. This is the same type of professionalism LE is supposed to maintain in an active investigation.

But human nature being what it is...in a one on one situation with the victims family....can they always adhere to these rules. Could we in a one on one with each other? Could we just talk about what has been officially released and nothing more?

There is much rumor and gossip...could it ALL be untrue? We do not know what has been confirmed or ruled out by LE. But I think Heather's Dad knows...at least in part.

It is quite bizarre that we are following this case and finding out about MULTIPLE recovered remains in the process.
It can shed light on a huge problem in SC.

Thinking about LE behind the scenes... and social media...

When Tori Stafford was still missing, someone on the family FB page posted a comment "you can find Tori here" with a link on a map. It was a rural road just outside of my town. It was the rural road that my father-in-law lived on. 2 weeks later LE showed up at his door. They asked to go through his house and his outbuildings. They did the same with every house on the road that day.

LE is always paying attention, and working diligently.

eta: That road was in the opposite direction of where she was found...

what statement? I feel as if I missed pages but just went back and I don't think I did....

No missed info. It's the statement that person left his wife and wanted to be with the victim. Vs the statement that he told her to stop calling him.

I just want to bump off this. Because I know, people are always talking about LE and what they can't say...and in my field I am bound by HIPAA laws, so I always think people are very careful with information that is not supposed to be shared. But, in reality, I have found that this is too often not so. In my field, many people are not careful about using names in conversation in front of other people, which is a violation. They throw records in the garbage which should be shredded. But, the most relevant to this are my local LE (hope they're not reading here :D).

My husband talks to local LE in our small town, all the time. And they tell him aLOT of what's going on. Many times, he will ask them something, and I'll be like "they are not going to answer that", but yet, they do. Or, they'll tell him something in conversation. Now, I don't know if it would be different if it were a "big" case.

But, I finally decided that it's just human nature to want to know something someone else doesn't know...and it must make the person feel cool, for lack of a better word, to be able to share it. I don't like it, I don't participate in it, but it's there. And I do believe they would tell TE stuff and he would cover it. Don't know if that's the case, but I could see it. Especially in the beginning before they knew how big it was gonna get. All MO...

BBM - Yes, I agree. I think LE pays particular attention to the reaction, or lack of the appropriate reaction in some cases, of the family members to those closest to the case. I also find it interesting that those closest to the case, who are wanting others to think they are not involved in any way, haven't reached out to the MSM or shows like HLN to share their story. If they were truly not involved, or didn't know something, they would be screaming if from the rooftops. Especially someone that seems to be impressed with the celebrity lifestyle. This would be their chance, their moment...

I also believe he was aware of more than what would normally be the case. I also noticed that when he stated LE weren't telling him anything...it wasn't until after he made reference to a "bounty".

Maybe they can't get on MSM? Even Heather's family seems to be having some difficulty with that, as the case has only gotten on national TV about 5x. Or maybe not, I feel like NG would give them airtime...Unless you're talking about local media too, which I definitely think would give them airtime w/ a phone call.

IMO, it's smart for them to stay quiet. Why would they want to increase the number of people who know who they are? I think the chance of them doing an interview, and people "liking" them, or thinking they are innocent is pretty low. Even parents of missing children who are not considered suspects tend to be scrutinized and criticized when they talk to the media.

While I think I agree with that (sorry, the depth of psychology in that has me in an endless circle) I've also noticed the overwhelming number of accused that do give national interviews end up being the guilty parties. Yet, I don't recall that many national interviews of accused individuals trying to clear their name and then end up being cleared. I hope that made sense??

You're speaking as a rational, uninvolved person that doesn't want drama or celebrity. The ones I'm speaking of seem to create drama and seek the spotlight, except from those that may ask the hard questions. The protest of innocence would be more credible if they put themselves in the right spotlight, just my opinion.

I understand what you're saying. It's so hard for me say anything else without being able to discuss what we can't discuss...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

BBM - ITA with these statements.

It seems that lately, since the drama has been cut out of a certain venue, it has spilled a little over to this forum. It seems that the finger is starting to be pointed in one specific direction from a very small handful of specific people. I hope that we are all able to keep an open mind while awaiting LE to make a statement. I don't think that jumping to conclusion will allow objective conversation in the future. JMOO

(Not trying to step on toes here, but wanted to throw this out there)

Does anyone have a link for court records search index for SC?

Or just one from Horry County? I'm more interested in the entire state court records index.

Thanks.

I get what you're saying. Like some people think "All press is good press" and could care less what people think, as long as long as they know their name. They also might not have the self-awareness to know that the interview probably won't go over well, or maybe they think the public will think they are innocent after they speak out.

However, the local media says they reached out to them, and they didn't reply. So they've already refused airtime on local TV.
