Who would be the primary suspect in HE's disappearance, if not for the roomate's unknown phone conservation?

we still have the phone calls till 6AM..of cause they would have to come from the perps phone or be traced back to a perp via video, etc. .

BBM

My septic tank has a plastic lid much like a plastic garbage can lid and is above ground. Most others that I have ever seen around here are much the same.

Mine also has a level meter hooked up with an alarm in case the liquid level rises too high. Then, it would need pumped out. I've only had this done once in the 5 years I've lived here and, I seriously don't think it was because the levels were actually too high – I think the meter was just faulty.

As for chemical treatment, we use Rid-X. It helps the sludge break down faster.

Yeah... pretty gross.

I will take a picture of ours then and post it here.

Happy Valentine's Day btw! :heartbeat:

I don't use Rid-X and routinely use bleach in my laundry which goes to the septic. I've done this for over 25 years without a problem. Also, my house is over 200 years old and I have older septics with hand-poured concrete tops on the tanks. You could easily fit a large man in one of mine.

I may be mistaken, but gators can't eat under water because they would drown.
A body would have to be on the bank or in very shallow water for gators to feed on it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong because I am no gator expert. I just like watching 'Swamp People' and they hang the gator bait in trees so the gators have to breach the water surface to get it.

I despise thinking about grim options about what may have happened to Heather. I cannot imagine what her family is going thru. :(

I grew up in Coconut Grove, Fl, and knew Amy Billig. She disappeared in 1974, and years later a gang member confessed he knew what happened to her. "Allegedy Billig was killed by a drug overdose at a party thrown by The Pagans the day she disappeared. The gang members then tossed Billig's body to the alligators in Florida's Everglades, thereby insuring she would never be located." http://icaremissingpersonscoldcases.yuku.com/topic/396/Amy-Billig-missing-since-1974-from-Coconut-Grove-Florida

Here's a picture of our home's septic tank. It's located in the far corner of our property. The lid is chained and locked by our water/sewer company. Not sure if other homes are the same, but I know a lot of them look similar to ours and are easily accessible (not buried underground with heavy concrete lids).

Our septic lid is not locked or chained.
I don't think I'm in the same area as you though.

Well, LE is saying it was "mostly PM's"...traced by IPS maybe? To her house and SM's?

Same here.
A large man has had to go down in ours to fix something (what a s***** job) so yes they definitely got down there with ease. Ick!

I'm not sure why they're even locked? It's not like there's anything of value down in there. But, as far as being secured, I definitely think they should be!

I most certainly would secure it even more if I had a small child!

I thought the minute I heard CUE was not searching (publicly anyway) that LE knew the reason why no searches were needed.

Our septic tank is about a foot (+/-) under and my husband knows exactly where the lids are.
He installed the tank, and it's very very gross down there. lol.
We had an issue with the line from the house to the tank this past fall and we fixed it ourselves.
I never want to do that again.
and one of the lids is large enough for what we were discussing earlier here.

I hope and pray she is found, and I just feel she needs to so TE can go on to help others. I truly think he will need to do that...he has a way with words and could use it in the future. :(

HOLY MARGINS!!

NewYork...get out of there.!! That picture gives me serious anxiety. really...

I don't understand the CUE part..how could LE have enough evidence to rule out a need for using CUE, and yet not enough to make an arrest or name a POI? Or even say they are 100% sure she did not run away?

Thank you for taking the time to show us your version of your septic. It is much nicer than mine....LOL

My older home has a cement heavy LID with a handle that is buried about 1 foot under. Most all the homes in my area were built around mid-80s and are like mine, so maybe its an older home type of thing. OR it could be because

The city has nothing to do with our septic system as we are rural and the waiste water just gets spread throughout the system and eventually into the surrounding area of the yard. We have no city sewer system out in the sticks where I am at. I think they may call my type "sand mound" or something like that.

So maybe it is because the city controls yours that it may be better built and controlled. I hate having to dig up my yard to find the handle whenever i need it flushed + pumped out.

FYI: It is not recommended to enter an underground septic tank for many reasons but primarily due to methane gas accumulation - Synonyms: Methane, swamp/marsh gas. A self contained breathing apparatus; SCBA, must be worn.
Acute Inhalation: At high concentrations, natural/methane gas can displace oxygen causing
asphyxiation and cause central nervous system (CNS)
depression and cardiac sensitization.

Here's a good thread on alligators from Haleigh Cumming's case.

2010.04.30 All about alligators - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

I'm guessing as soon as OMM found out she was on a date he texted her..and that's the monkey wrench in the pre planned trickery for me.....I mean if this was premeditated why wait for her to be on a mid week date?

Hatfield, use dowsing rods, they are very effective tools for locating anything buried.

Just for the record, that wasn't me in the septic tank.

My guess would remain the same: the last person she had phone contact with !
