You haven't offended me. I've just come to realize that it really does have very different connotations to different people. I'm not far away from GA and totally get what you're saying about it being a commonly used word with good and bad intentions. I'm careful how I use it these days. I think we are saying the same thing. Sorry if I misunderstood. :loveyou:

Thank you Quill, I will be careful how I use it in the future as well- being born and raised in Ga.(South Ga at that) (LOL)and using the word in Ga., I have NEVER run into a problem- maybe I should have found a different word so I'll have to work on that !i sure don't categorize my brothers along with the "whatevers" who may or may not be shooting at OMM .

What we need are some SAR pigs.....

The only problem with taking a random guess at someone's height while they are sitting is that there is a very large difference between a person 5'8" and someone 6'. If you guess wrong when describing someone, LE will be looking for a short person when they should be looking for a tall person (or vice versa). It would also be grounds for anyone arrested who was much taller (or shorter) to say it wasn't them, because they were not that height.

I would suppose he might have tripped over something in his panic to get inside. (I wonder if it would be cause for workman's comp to kick in?) Or it's possible he was already hurt from something (on the job or something else), which is why he was outside, and that injury was not related to the police report, just an aside as to why LE took him to the hospital.

It is an interesting fact that the term redneck is not listed as being a very positive noun. From the definition, you could not be very educated, if at all, and be a redneck. I wonder if the colloquial meaning has just changed over the years, and never made it to the dictionary.
noun
1. an uneducated white farm laborer, especially from the South.
2. a bigot or reactionary, especially from the rural working class.

adjective
3.
Also, red-necked. narrow, prejudiced, or reactionary: a redneck attitude. Synonyms: biased, narrow-minded, intolerant

THE LAST DEFINITION WAS THE ONE I INTENED - thanks for posting this !

Then LE should stop asking people to give descriptions. I am certain that he was asked or would have been asked how tall he thought they were because that is a standard question asked when giving a description. LE doesn't care if you make a random guess at someone's height. There was a guy who approached my home a few weeks ago and pretended to be a city worker when his intent was to burglarize my home. I gave the police officers my best description. I could barely see his race, height, weight, make, model, because I was scared....had two screaming kids and a dog going crazy. You do the best you can in a stressful situation. You don't say, sorry, I would not want to make a random guess, so I will say nothing. It is suppose to be a starting point for the police. LE are very smart people, even though he said 5'8-5'9, they aren't only looking for people that height. A difference of two inches would not be a defense because we all see people differently in height, weight and age.

I wonder if OMM has assisted LE in trying to find HE. Surely during the time that HE and OMM were seeing each other they shared dreams and plans. And if OMM would take a lie detector test and pass it, then he may garner some credibility. At this point it's like the boy who cried wolf!

BBM

In the Myrtle Beach report, Moorer said he was in a parking lot in the 7500 block of North Kings Highway when two white males in a truck pulled up beside him and pointed what appeared to be a shotgun at him.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning, and was reported at 1:38 a.m.

The victim said he was able to run inside a nearby address, lock himself inside and wait for officers to arrive, the report said.

According to the report, the suspects were both white males, about 30, stood 5-8 to 5-9 and were in a white pickup truck.

How do you know how tall someone is when they are sitting inside of a truck???

At least there should be video of this alleged incident.

Wonder what he is doing out and about at 1:30 in the morning?

Has he put himself on the graveyard repairman shift?

This reminds me just a little of the Jessica Heeringa case, as when JA gave an interview with a tv news crew, he mentioned that the police asked him if he took Jessica and if he knew who did. He said he did not on both questions.
Perhaps if SM took a lie detector test, maybe he is afraid he could fail, even if he did not take Heather, but perhaps in his mind, he might think he knows who took her, but might be afraid to say so therefore that could jeopardize the results, and it would come off looking like he failed.
There has to be a reason or reasons why SM has not taken a polygraph, especially in light of everything going on, I would think he would want to Clear himself, if he can. Maybe the results would be frightening to him....
IMOO.

Excellent comparison and opinion!

My deep gut feeling is that he may not be the actual perpetrator of this crime( if there was a crime involving HE)but his past behavior may have pushed SOMEONE" over the edge who may have committed a crime against her- he may or may not have some involvement in the aftermath . IYKWIM - been my feeling since early on !!!

Maybe these incidents are not related to the HE Camp at all. Maybe someone was hired to take care of Heather and now that someone is afraid that the OMM will crack under the publicity and spill the beans. If the incidents are actually occurring, I tend to believe they are school friends of Heather and not connected to her family or BB. This seems to me the kind of thing a 20 year old would do.

I've been having similar thoughts.

For a guy who seems(to me) to not want to cooperate with LE...he sure does call them for help quite often. Bad luck for SM as there never seems to be anyone else, other than his family, who has gotten a glimpse of this white truck. JMO

Great point. What irony.

I think OMW should take a poly too .JMO

What would be the point?

If he passes, people would say they are not reliable, and that some killers are able to outsmart them.

If he fails, it will just be another reason why people think he is guilty.

Has it been said somewhere that SM did not take a polygraph or is that an assumption people are making because it was never said in MSM that he did take one? I remember reading that SS took one and many more were administered, but it didn't say who. It is fine to assume this, I am not so sure if he did nope not. Just curious because people are saying he did not and I don't remember reading this. Can someone clarify? Thanks.

wow. Catching up. Another one and just so happens to AGAIN coincide closely with an event for HE. It seems like when attention is publicly focused on HE these other things happen.

I want to know what LOGO was printed on the ballcaps and what color hats they were. Most ballcaps are never just plain color, so surely someone would be able to tell what logo was on the cap to help identify them. And were both hats the same color or different color.

Both white males
Both about 30
Both stood 5-8 to 5-9
Both had ballcaps (no color or logo identified)
Maybe they were twins?

And another white truck incident. Wonder if the person thinks it is someone they may know who has a white truck and is trying to make sure they get in trouble. If person who owns a white truck happened to be at vigil or has a good alibi for the time frame, then it would be good to get that in order.

I predict the next major HE event we may have another white truck incident.

I wasn't referring to him.

just so redneck? huh? really?!

yes, there have been some studies that link impulse control disorder, or explosive disorder to possible heredity, but if that is true and related to inherited brain chemistry and possilby environmental upbringing, then it could be within particular families, but I think the term redneck encompasses so many people from different heritages- farmers working in the sun- that particular behaviors cannot be attributed to being a redneck.

Probably didn't because he had the opportunity (TV interview) to say he did(and if he did and failed I believe LE would have said something(officially or leaked).

,
No, I can't clarify whether he did or not , so this is just my assumption - I feel that if he had taken one, that the public would have been told-(maybe not) but it seems to me that he would want to , to clear himself( that's what I would do if I were being blamed for a crime I didn't commit )(especially if I had been the last person known or suspected to have talked to her) and then I would want the public to know ( of course, that's just what would do.I realize not everyone thinks alike) ( tho my previous post stated OMW.
