It could of just been the I am here at this spot waiting for you to get here call.

If that were the case, her phone records would not show who or where the call came from. There has to be something FROM Heather's phone because all they have to go on are her phone records, and they are specific only as to who she texts and calls, not who texts and calls her.

In the Alexis Murphy case, didn't they use dogs that were specifically trained to sniff out cell phones? Something about being trained for use in prisons/jails to find inmates with cell phones? I would love to hear if the HCPD would reach out to a resource like this and have those dogs search PTL and the surrounding areas.

This is the only map I recall seeing.... Hope it helps.

Just a suggestion...

Maybe the map referred to above could be linked in the first post (reference post with past threads, FHE link, etc.) if/when a new thread is started?

TIA...:seeya:

Guys... I am working on a theory. I even made a dang tumblr to check it. You can retroactively post. What if someone got ahold of HE's phone and posted those posts to... alter the timeline and also make it look like she was depressed? There were no posts we can see on her other SM, but those are public and could have been done retroactively because HE's friends and family may not be so connected to her tumblr as to her FB and Twitter...?

Phone records can identify what number called and text as well. If the call initiated from a landline it could likely lead to the location of the caller at that time.

My phone bill and my kids also show what number called them. It shows incoming texts too.

I think phone records shows incoming calls to your phone. It's not going to tell you who it is or where its coming from. I am not sure about text.

IMO the phone info released to the public has been deliberately vague, possibly even deliberately wrong & misleading. I really don't place any credence in the times of any of the calls other than the tumblr posts. Seems like we had more exact info from the Drexel case.

That's interesting. Mine don't say what number the call is from, it just says the length of the call and the town their phone is registered in.

Found this article which was allowed here

It is still unclear just who may have seen Heather Elvis last. Her last confirmed whereabouts was in the Carolina Forest area (about ten miles from where he car, a dark green 2001 Dodge Intrepid, was found) on Tuesday. The last time her cell phone pinged was about 2 a.m. the following morning. To make matters more worrisome, she didn't show up for her scheduled shift at her

Interesting section of quote..."Her [Heather's] last confirmed whereabouts was the Carolina Forest area...

I do not recall specifically which place that was...

Is that her apartment/condo?

I read and will try to fine, that they said, the roommate was the last to ADMIT to speaking to her. Since I am not sure we can say what the brother has said, I won't report, I won't. And it wasn't in an interview. My opinion, she talked to someone after. Wouldn't the police want to reach out to the world and say that and try to figure that out instead of saying pretending it was the roommate?! It really, for me changes everything. It changes her mood, time table, demeanor, lack of sleep, etc. You could find different witnesses because you could determine her location of her phone pinging per phone call. I don't think this was done to catch the bad "guys" and trap them. I have just found this so odd, along with so many other things. I know I can't say them all.

I do hope this family finds peace and Heather is brought home.

Good theory but wouldn't that mean He passwords would have been stored in her phone. I know nothing about tumblr. Is tumblr even popular I thought it was twitter and instagram.

The 3 41 am time seems to pretty important. If it means the phone went off at that time by some criminal act or He shut it off who knows. However her shutting it off don't fly of course.

I am not a 20 year old and my phone is RARELY shut all the way off. Unless she didn't want to be contacted on purpose I highly doubt she turned her phone off. The battery may have died or if she were a victim someone else may have removed battery/ shut off/ threw in lake etc. JMO of course but a 20 year old girl these days is rarely without cell/internet access.

I don't think you would because you would want that person to basically hang themselves. That's just my theory

I just posted the same thing. I don't understand why. Real information could provide real time stamps to where she was at during those calls. Makes you wonder why.

New member, first post.

First, I have a son a bit younger than HE. It is not unusual for him to be on his phone/SM at 2 or 3 am, especially if he doesn't have work or school the next day.

Second, my phone records show in and outgoing. Also, if someone had my phone, they would have immediate access to ALL my social media, as I have it set up so I don't have to log in to every account each time I use them.

I had another point, but it escapes me. You are all amazing. I'm feeling a bit out of my league.

That's interesting! This also brings to mind someone could have discovered the passwords to her accounts. Many times people keep their info on their phone. I wonder if she had her phone password protected? The reason I say this, is LE would have the phone records and know when her phone was last used, however if someone were logging in from their pc to these accounts there would be access records. So these accounts could be very important, especially if someone were making changes.

If that was the case ,the perp is one smart cookie to plan that out in advance and to know her passwords(there are passwords to tumblr,right?)..so then you would say this was an "event" that wasn't spontaneous? or that HE's actions with this person at the time they met really played no role in her disappearance because things were set in motion?

True mine shows the detail of the to and from number and whether is was sent or received, broken out by voice calls or text
(They need to tack this detail for tax purposes)
my last phone bill was 46 pages (if printed) kids text alot good have have an unlimited plan.

Just to add a complication - there is Google voice for android phones, essentially you can replace your provider cell number with a IP number from Google (can be used in case you change phone companies, your contacts always call the Google number regardless if you change cell providers). All you need is a free google account and sign-up with the app. The Google number shows up on caller id, not sure what shows on a bill detail but I think the Google number as the from/to, not the actual cell number.
(Your essentially calling the Google servers that then completes the call/text with their number)
