The HUGE gap in time from the 6:00 am phone call on 12/18 and the police/TE getting to the car on 12/19 is such a long time frame. IMO too long of a time for an endless amount of things to occur :(

Many of us on have noted that aspect. I wonder if any of those on here who are in the MB area remember LE or the media asking for anyone who used the landing btw 6:00 AM on the 18th to the afternoon of the 19th to contact LE?

I firmly believe LE has a better idea of what was seen by others at that landing during that timeframe and it has not been made public.

Guys, most of FL is EST, but about half of the panhandle is CST. I really think that is the time hang up here...

ETA: the time zone change is about an hour west of Tallahassee, so Panama City, PCB, Pensacola, Destin, ft. Walton beach, are just a few cities in central time zone.

She was DEFINITELY at least checking her phone throughout the night. She's learning to drive stick for the first time and no doubt bucking the car and using both feet awkwardly for the very first time ... where's her phone during her lesson??? Right on her lap. Not in her purse, not in the cup holder, not on the floor. I would think that would be the LAST place you want your phone when you're learning to drive a stick, since it would be flying all over the place. So if you want your phone even during your lesson, that tells me you don't part with your phone at all.

Exactly what I have been trying to say. And I would bet she is adept at using it in almost any scenario. She knew if married guy was calling and eventually, she was probably able to answer one call. Or maybe there was a text. Not sure we would know, since phone was not found.

IMO somehow, married guy got her to leave her apartment. What happened next, only he and maybe some accomplices know.

Snipped from MyHorryNews article. My comments in bold:

Efforts to contact either man have been unsuccessful. REALLY?

I'm pretty sure this means efforts made by My Horry News was unsuccessful. I don't blame them. If I were in their shoes, I wouldn't want to talk to the press. :twocents:

That makes complete sense. If someone asks you what time you spoke to your friend in California yesterday, you would look at your phone and just read what the time says.

Myhorrynews published the story about the phone calls at 12.47 pm . It is now 3.43 p.m , I just checked the larger MSM sites in MB, they have reported on the increased reward but nothing about the police report.

I find that odd

I'm surprised that this case requires laypersons to sort out time zones to clarify a missing persons timeline. I would think that's the job of LE to make that clear, particularly if they're logging it for missing persons police report.

I didn't even think of that! If people weren't at the landing could people driving by have noticed? Were there staff there or is it a public loading dock? If I were driving my normal route to work and noticed a car parked strange then it was still there when I came home from work, I would possibly notice it? IMO

IMO- please don't judge her age and his. Some women like older men. My fiancé was in his late 40s and I, in my 20s. Age is but a number. When two souls meet and are meant to be- nothing else matters. It was just as much her choice to be with a man that was that age; IMO.

sbm

On the other hand, depending on the dynamic between this man and his wife and how much she knew of the affair, it could be highly likely that she monitored his phone usage throughout the day. 2-6 AM? Probably a safer time, unless he had a burner phone she couldn't go through. JMO

True but I think we are only seeing the earliest version of the report.

Agreed...but maybe blocking seemed too permanent. She may have been still torn about someone she was trying to move past. If you block someone does it show you if they called? How many times? That may have felt important to her, kwim?

I cannot see of the person called or texted, but I can also unblock the person by sending a text to the same number with the word UNBLOCK and the number. The blocked party is not aware they were blocked.

Here is EXACTLY what I did: I made a tumblr acct on my computer this morning around 11. I downloaded the app on my phone right afterward. Now that I have signed in on my phone it is in my acct. I don't have to sign in every time I tumblr on my phone.

Here is a link to the acct I made, so you can see the posts: http://carolinaash.tumblr.com/

You'll note that one of those posts is dated yesterday.

Additionally, using the app on my phone someone could find out what e-mail I used to sign up, have a forgotten password e-mail sent, retrieve the e-mail from my phone and reset the password to something they picked. Then they could play on my tumblr on their computer all they wanted to.

O/T... I am way behind y'all on this thread... But I just read your letter about your bangs, CarolinaAsh!

:silly:

So cute!

I have asked this question many times. My theory the crime took place elsewhere. Either HE was invited over or she just showed up. I don' t think the car was there on Wednesday at all.

I think the circumstances and dynamics are what determine the course of a relationship, not the age of the parties. No triangle has a happy outcome, regardless of age.

Agree and possibly HRE felt guilty if he has kids - which would be common for a married man 'almost twice her age'.

If he did have a family, and was prepared to leave it, thats some serious commitment to the new relationship. Maybe Heather didn't want it to go that far. She is only twenty and a free spirit. I could see that making the older man very angry, if he felt he'd lost a lot, or given up a lot for her.

Did TE ever mention if he had to adjust the seat when he got in the car. He is pretty small do any the possible perps match her height or weight or anything.

  • #738
What time was the last ping from her cell phone?

  • #739
It's more likely HE drove somewhere to meet this guy and was confronted by the wife. A fight broke out and things got out of control, and something bad happened. We now know she was alive at 6 am. The next question should be where was she getting these calls at. Was it at home or at the boat landing. Did she go over this persons house sometime Wednesday?

I don't think she went to his house. Maybe to a Hotel??

I think all that happened there is the car was parked.
