Give the same info. to the family and have them try all of the same strategies.
Just talked to sister ,who hopes to join us here today, and it was the Georgetown Police who picked Johnny up, called the hotel and asked if he worked there. When they said no they ran him through some data bank ,then dropped him off at the county line near Surfside Beach.that police report doesn't have ANYTHING on it about him being Special Needs- is that the best they can do? Be on the look out, call us if he comes back?
WTH? This ...This is a police report for a missing person?
Oh I am mad now. I understand it is a vacation destination and crawling with tourists BUT this man has special needs, it is not like he took off to go party and dance in a club, and passed out when he hurled in the bushes.
Puleeze...this is not right!
Miss James
Is it possible to get some verification somehow regarding that info upthread of Johnny having been 'dropped' off in Suftside? If so, by whom specifically? I think it would be of utmost importance to established the accuracy of that info.
I was trying to see if there are any search and rescue groups- can't they be utilized??

interesting- snipped from above link
Tourism Benefits We have partnered with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and they currently have 10 wristbands available to offer tourists with autistic children during their stay along our coast. This program not only touches those in Horry County, but also reaches over 13 million tourists who vacation in our area every year. So far this year we have had ten visiting families who were Project Lifesaver clients who we made each feel safer and secure.
Okay this being dropped off stuff could be very important as far as establishing a point last seen, verified by LE
Georgetown ( the city) is app. 38 miles south of Myrtle Beach, down 17 and across on the mainland
Okay I am going to assume it may have been Georgetown County sheriff Dept, not city police, as Georgetown County abuts Horry county and the county line is around Sandy Island Rd., app 21 miles from Myrtle beach
assuming Johnny was picked up in Georgetown County, then it is a minimum of about 10 mi back up 17 to Surfside Beach
HOW long after Johnny came missing from the motel, did this assumed incident take place? I would like to try to figure out how many miles he may have been able to cover between the motel and Georgetown intervening.
