There is a link to click if you've forgotten your password.

Anyone can see it if you log-out, then try logging-in with the fields blank.

Hopefully Julie has recovered her password with assistance from the mods or will do so soon so she can re-connect to this thread and see all of the amazing work that's been done to help find her brother. Her help is needed, most of all.

Dear Julie,
I hope your password issues have been straightened out and you can join us soon. I want you to know that everything that has been said and done here at WS has been in your brother's best interest. I am fairly new here, too. I've been a lurker for a long time and the one thing I've noticed about WSers is that they're a tenacious bunch. If they take on a case they will keep at it. Cases from years ago are still being discussed here, so no one is truly ever forgotten, no matter how long it's been. Please know that Johnny has friends here that he's never met and we have all been praying for the best possible outcome for him.

That being said, we sometimes try to cover every possible angle and some of those angles may not be correct or they may even be offensive to you, but we're only trying to "worst case scenario" the situation. One of the reasons we so badly want you here is so you can eliminate certain theories and also tell us when we're on the right track. Without you, it's almost impossible to do. Please believe that ultimately we have Johnny's best interests at heart. We want him to be back home in Cartersville with all of you.

Try to look at the positive things that have been done here and I think you will be amazed at how much care and support there is here for your brother. He is our main focus, but that doesn't mean that we don't want to care and support you and your family also. We need you to be present and willing to help us HELP YOU. It has been frustrating for us at times because we've reached points where we felt we've hit a brick wall, but then someone comes up with a new suggestion and we get energized again.

If my loved one was missing (and that almost happened to me recently with my mom) I would let these people speculate, disect, and turn my life inside out if it meant they were helping to find that person. I hope that you understand that we're coming from a good place and we have been helping as much as possible. I'm not going to list here all that's been done, but when you read through these pages take note of all the caring gestures people have made on behalf of your brother. If you only focus on speculation and theories that you disagree with you will be missing the opportunity to see all of the work that's been done FOR your brother. The circumstances don't matter to any of us in the big picture. Finding Johnny is what matters.

I hope that you will understand that we have been at this since Day One and we haven't given up, on the contrary, we have become determined to help your family bring your brother back to Cartersville. The rest is trivial compared to that goal.

Hope to see you soon. God Bless you and your family. God Bless Johnny and keep him safe.

Beautifully stated ,Peekerfoo.

I look at Johnny's picture often and see someone who needs to be home with his momma.
I will go back to MB and do what I can,but I need something to go on. I hope there have been new sightings that we can follow up on.
I still believe this can be a happy ending !

My parents taught me that everyone in this world is important .They also taught me that helping others is the most important thing you'll ever do. The thing is,when you help others , you are really helping yourself.
We were foster parents for a total of 17 years (took a break at one time) . It wasn't always fun ,but I loved it!
It was completely selfish because I enjoyed those babies so much . I took medically fragile and newborns .Holding those babies ,rocking them ,it's better than any drug . We adopted four of them and several friends adopted many of them ,as well. I than God every day for my children.
I feel the same way about finding Johnny. The day he goes home will rank right up there as one of the best days of my life. I just hope it's soon :please:

Two fantastic posts above, Peekerfoo and MissJames, They are the proof in words of just how caring some people are.
Kind hearted and concerned about someone they have never met -nothing more for me to say!

Someone may have already mentioned this, but in studying the picture of Johnny above on MissJames' post.... he looks more like a teenager or a young man in his early 20's at most. He does not look like a 44 yr. old man, so if this is the picture on his missing poster, it very well might mean he has been seen but the person only thought he was a homeless man and did not connect the dots. This is something to think about. I wonder if the family could supply us with another picture that shows him full face, a little closer up, rather than a profile at some distance. Just a suggestion.
No doubt his clothes are going to be a little grungy by now, and his hair and beard have grown as well, so he is not going to look much like this picture at all, and that may be a hindrance when people are looking for him.
Just some thoughts I've had.

You are absolutely right TXLady2,
Johnny looks like a vulnerable teen which may have been the way he looked at the time of going missing, but as soon as he lost the clean clothes, maybe grew some stubble or a beard, he would be a totally different looking person.

Why are there so few photos available of Johnny?
When I put the video together, there were two, surely its in everyones interest to release more, even if its just to keep the awareness up?

What's an earworm?

Earworms are plentifully described on the net, but those heavy explanations are NOT what I meant.

What I meant is simply this: The song is catchy and replays in my head. I don't even have to load it in youtube to hear it anymore. :-) Plus that, I love the tune!

My husband (singer/songwriter/producer...and old as dirt like I am) was instantly taken by the song as well. He said in so many words: Print/Release it! Obviously, you know how to write a song, a real one, and produce it as well. He also added that UK ppl sure do know how to get the sound down (he referenced Peter Gabriel).

Thank you for doing this for Johnny Brown...where IS he?

Still hoping for a positive resolution soon.

It's chilly here in SC this morning and the next several nights will be even cooler. I pray that Johnny is someplace where he can keep warm and has found clothing suitable for the weather. I hate the thought of him being scared and cold.

I love Johnny's song and agree ,it needs to be heard everywhere, not just for Johnny ,but because it's so good !

There is a foundation called Songs of Love .They compose personal songs for chronically and terminally ill children. They did one for my "Johnny" ,Sam,when he was 6 years old. It is fantastic! Fabgod ,if you have time............

http://www.songsoflove.org/

On a side note ,one reason my "Johnny" is developmentally disabled is because he acquired FUNGAL MENINGITIS when he was 4 months old. He was still in the NICU ,had a central line for IV nutrition ( he had 76% of small bowl removed and didn't absorb formula) and was constantly given the toughest IV antibiotics possible .
I always believed the fungus grew because of the antibiotics, but now I'm wondering if it was introduced ,given the new outbreaks linked to a steroid injection.
We became involved with him just as he was recovering from it. They lied to us about how many problems he would face and I'm so glad they did!!!

It did a lot of damage. He ended up back on a vent and had to have a tracheostomy for a while . His current airway is the size of a one year old,but he's almost 11.

My point is........this type of brain damage can happen to anybody . Even when children are born healthy ,accidents ,illness and trauma can change that in a heartbeat .
I think we all have a reason to be concerned about how Johnny's case has developed ,because one day Johnny could be your child or grandchild.

I too worried about Johnny with the cold weather and possible rain coming in.
I'm hoping that he will go into a store or restaurant to warm up and/or stay dry where the employees will recognize him for who he is and contact the LE.

I agree with you about Fabgod's song. What an awesome thing to do for someone he's never met! He's got talent, that's for sure! And heart....

Your "Johnny" was so blessed that you found him, Miss James. I know you will say that you're the one who's blessed and you are, but that little guy found an angel.

I love that you just turned a negative into a possible positive, Watcher 9! That's a great point and hopefully the cooler weather does bring him into a business!

It's been cooler where we live, too. Yesterday was miserable, because it misted off and on, and the sudden drop in temperature was a shock to our systems. I hope it warms up some today. But it's been mentioned by several, the weather is going to start getting cold soon, winter is coming on. I've dreaded it because I know Johnny is out there somewhere, and it pains me to think about him with no coat, no jacket, nothing to keep him warm.
The past two years, some concerned citizens have formed a group here to try to get a feel for the homeless. They go out to a park somewhere and camp out all night. Last year they did this on one of the coldest nights of the year. Many of them said they were glad they had the chance to see what the homeless people have to deal with. We have a few shelters, and the Salvation Army takes in some extras when the weather is really bad, but they end up having to turn some away. It is so sad to realize how many people have nowhere to go.

You are exactly right MissJames. Thanks for the post, and thanks for the website. I'm 'bookmarking' it and I'm also sharing it with family and friends. What a wonderful organization!
You are one super lady!!!!

BBM
I don't remember anyone mentioning shelters they may have in MB, but I would hope the Salvation Army, Union Mission, Providence and other shelters have been notified and there are posters around their locations, especially with the big change in the weather.
