Well, I'll give my 2 cents, with all due respect

, since questions keep coming up:
In a missing persons case on WS, I do not think it's appropriate to hear who planned on calling whom, why someone is or is not logging into WS, whether somebody was stood up by someone, etc. Y'all can also imagine more hypothetical situations along those lines.
That's too personal, and posters may not feel comfortable with that level of discussion about their behavior.
It's against TOS to even tell someone publicly by posting that you are PMing them or asking them to PM you

I think (imho) the emphasis for posts is strict to respect everyone's privacy. We don't need to talk
about people in such detail when the information comes from private things.
If it's a discussion taking place in the MSM, then it's a very public discussion with information that came from journalists, etc. We can watch an interview and give our opinion on that behavior, but we wouldn't want to give an opinion on something told to someone via private email, for example.
If someone explicitly states in an email, "Please post this for me about what I just told you" then that's a bit different. That does happen in many cases here with verified insiders and such.
I hope this helps, because I'm only posting my personal take on it to help clear up confusion.
