I was going through the old news items on Johnny and there was an interesting comment from a relative there. From there you can connect (if you were so inclined to do so) to some FB pages that don't have much info about JB on them. These are all out there for the world to see, so there was no sleuthing involved. The "waiting" part really got to me. Waiting? Waiting for what? I guess for Johnny to just show up one day?

I wonder if Johnny has settled in somewhere and either likes where he is or has come to accept where he is.

IMO the Myrtle Beach Police Dept probably thought they would come across Johnny fairly quickly.
I mean,here's a 44 year old man with a speech impediment (and perhaps a developmental disability) with no place to go ,no ID ,money or phone ,where's he going to go ? How will he eat?

It's really kind of stunning that he was able to disappear .

Just so ya know.... There ARE alot of us who come here and check on Johnny,you guys arent alone. I pop in,read your posts,get excited..get let down..etc,etc. Im very proud of ya'll
I pray for Johnny...and my WS family.

I am right there with you too, Gatekeeper. A real rollercoaster and I am amazed at these WSers and all of the work they are doing on Johnny's behalf.

There's not a lot more we can do but remain vigilant and continue to look for any news that could help Johnny.

BBM I hope you're right about the BBM #1. I'm telling myself that Johnny is finding out he is able to take better care of himself that he had previously thought. I so want to believe he is enjoying his independence, and does have enough skills to find what he needs to have a good life on his own.

Relating to BBM #2 Those missing people who want to "get lost" aren't having nearly as easy of a job as JB. Most of them CAN'T get lost, even trying as hard as possible. Maybe JB can teach a class on "How to get lost and never be seen again." LOL I like to think he is out there somewhere doing fine, happy as a lark, being independent.

I also agree that fabgod is going to be clever enough to figure this out, too. I appreciate that of all the cases he could've landed on here he found Johnny's. I am so grateful to ALL the people who have lended their support to Johnny's cause. Wouldn' the world be a better place if EVERYONE cared so much? :sheesh:

Can I just ask a question?
If there is to be a facebook page for Johnny, why do we need to not use the phone numbers that were provided by family?
What contact numbers would be used on the FB page? because Johnny could be anywhere now, would it be a generic 911 or would there be other numbers?

I guess the thinking was, that since the old FB has been taken down ,it is possibly no longer public information? Also, there was concern that the family might get calls that they don't want. I'm not sure what numbers to use. It's MBPD's case, but like you said, JB could be anywhere by now. I would think 911 because it would take too long to go through the MBPD to whatever jurisdiction he is spotted in. It might help to mention that he is listed in NCIC and NaMus and give the case file numbers. I think if someone saw him on the street they wouldn't be carrying around the MBPD or family's numbers, but they would be able to call 911.

I sure hope so, but it scares me half to death to think about him still missing, still trying to find shelter and food. Maybe he is with a group of homeless hidden under a bridge or in an abandoned shack somewhere. So why can't MBPD just do a check on some of the homeless hangouts, see if they can run across him? They could show his picture around, it wouldn't take all that much effort or time. He has to be somewhere!!
I have a son in LE, I think I am going to ask him for some tips, see if he can come up with something none of us have thought of. It can't hurt.
