Maybe if they schedule an autopsy for Johnson, he'll volunteer to take them to Nevaeh's body ;)

Does anyone else think there is a chance she is alive? Her family feels it and I know he confessed but what if it’s just to get them off his tail?

If he is involved in crime I can see other ways this may have gone as well.

I’m not sure what to believe honestly but I think not exploring multiple avenues could cause more harm than good.

’He would have murdered me and my child.’ Ex-girlfriend of accused SC killer describes years of abuse
The ex-girlfriend of Daunte Johnson is telling her story after she said she survived years of abuse.

[...]

Johnson has ties to the Charlotte area and, according to an ex-girlfriend, he lived here for approximately three years. LS’s name is listed in court records connected to Johnson’s name after she filed a protective order against him. She said they dated for three years and he abused her constantly.

“He was very abusive. He was abusive mentally, emotionally and physically,” LS said.

[...]

“Defendant also physically assaulted plaintiff on December 19, 2017 by kicking her in the face with a steel toe boot,” LS said while reading from court documents against her then-boyfriend.

[...]

LS and Johnson have a 2-year-old child together. But when she says DSS threatened to take her son away because of the abuse, she finally filed a restraining order against Johnson.

[...]

LS said she believed he was capable of more violence and even tried to reach out to his family members to try and get him help. But said she eventually left the relationship because she had to think of her son first.

[...]

According to court documents, Johnson was never arrested or charged with assault against LS but she did have a protective order against him for alleged previous assaults. Johnson was arrested twice in 2015 and 2016 for assault on female charges for allegedly abusing a previous girlfriend.

He was never convicted because the victim did not make their court appearance to testify against him.

Amoree Smith says she is frustrated there was no amber alert issued when her cousin, 5-year-old Nevaeh Adams, went missing. #Sumter Police say they are still searching for her body, but will still not be releasing an alert because her case did not meet the amber alert criteria.

Incident report gives more details in Nevaeh Adams case
[...]

According to an incident report, Bradley was found unresponsive in her apartment at the Lantana Apartments in Sumter on August 5, 2019.

The property manager was notified, saw Bradley on the living room floor and called 911.

The incident report says that Bradley had "multiple injuries to her head and neck area." Bradley's son also told law enforcement that his sister Nevaeh was missing, and that she was last seen with Bradley.

While officers were at the scene, they found Daunte Johnson, 28, on Poulas Street. He then ran to Susie Rembert Street, about a block from the apartment complex.

I’m really wondering if he told the truth now that they have searched so extensively and not found her. Did he send them on a wild goose chase?

I sure hope Sharee's son wasn't the one who found her. Makes me want to cry to think that. :(
I know it and I have a feeling it was. Bless his heart. :(

The reasons I think so are 1) He probably doesn't have a cell phone so he had to go to the manager - had it been an adult, they would have just called 911 themselves, 2) This wording: "Bradley's son also told law enforcement...," and 3) The blacked-out words in the 1st ss are not all the way blacked-out and end in "on" (son). MOO

‘God rest her soul’: Family, friends remember Sumter native Sharee Bradley
[...]

Nevaeh’s mother, Sharee Bradley, lived in Sumter since she was born, according to family.

“This is where it all started,” EN, Bradley’s stepfather, said as he stood outside his yellow home on Carver Street. “It’s a family home that loved Sharee. Sharee was the baby of this home.”

[...]

Loved ones describe Sharee as the jokester of the family, a mother of three who loved her kids dearly and most of all, a woman of God.

“I met Sharee on Sunday, July 28. She joined our church," Deacon SB, with Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, said. "She wanted to become active in the church and ministry.”

[...]

As the family finds closure on Sharee’s death, they continue to hold onto what could be left -- her 5-year-old daughter Nevaeh.

“Right now we feel that she is still alive, and she’s so alone right now," EN said. “And we just wish that it could just end and Nevaeh could come home.”

SB said he and a few others from the church are working on setting up a prayer vigil for Sharee and Neveah in the future.

Family of missing 5-year-old Nevaeh Adams leaning on love and faith amidst tragedy
[...]

GD is attorney and family friend that’s been speaking out for Nevaeh’s family, and he said she has two siblings; one that’s three years old, and another that’s 13 years old. Deas said everyone close to them is trying to make sure they’re receiving as much love as possible.

“They lost a mother,” he said. “That’s a tragic situation for any young child. They’re doing as well as can be expected, but again, they just suffered the unspeakable loss of their mother. They have the love and support around them. Given what these children have experienced, what they’ve encountered, or possibly even may have witnessed, they can’t get enough support right now from this community.”

[...]

“I call for all of Sumter, and all of the surrounding areas, to come forward and support this family and uplift them with their prayers, because that’s what they need.”
