Police seized firearms from the crime scene where Paul and Maggie Murdaugh were killed last month, and they may be investigating “forced entry” onto the property, according to a court document filed Wednesday.
  • SLED blacked out details about “forced entry” and “force used.” The agency said it did so because it revealed “details about the manner in which the crime [was] committed.”

Sgt. Greene's "original narrative" report, on the 3rd page, the redacted explanation said "the firearm seized", singular.

Sgt. G, first one there, writes report of what he observed and steps he took before being relieved.

I would assume the others would have to do the same? No.

Ok so what if he wrote what he saw and he didn’t see the rifle would the person that found it write that in there report?

I would expect to find the shotgun close if left and I would think the rifle would be at a distance if left.

Jmo

Has LE denied 2 different weapons.

That's a good article. It's far from the whole story, but at lest the investigation is beginning to move.

I’m remembering that odd comment we discussed earlier from a friend interviewed by the media. Forced entry might mean that comment….that MM was indeed forced from her home to the kennels….is possibly correct.

Or it might mean someone broke a lock on a gate to get onto the property so they could hide out behind the dog kennels.

Possibly the victims were bound? Maybe it was a home invasion and the Murdaugh weapons, plural, were used in the murders?

Did they have a gate at that point in time? I believe that they only installed one after the murders. The media carried a photo of it being installed.

They showed the redaction explanations which I cannot seem to copy. Authorities state they redacted information, among other things, that would reveal who found the bodies and who was at the scene.

Do you know if the killer(s) came in the front way ? Might be a gate toward the back of the property.

"Additionally, two other pages concerning vehicles found at the crime scene were redacted because of information on “the firearms seized” and the “manner of injury to the victims,” according to the redaction log."

What???

I wonder in what way they are using the term "seized". To seize something means using force and this is the way in which LE usually means for it to be taken. It seems like an odd way to say they found it.

I don't see why they're including who found the bodies in the redactions when its been said that AM found them and called 911 to report it? Why include something that you admitted by saying AM called 911? Does that mean someone besides AM else found the bodies and he just called it in?

To me this indicates that the weapon must have belonged to the M's. Its their weapon and it's on their property but LE is taking it in to evidence.
I can see how this would be considered seizing but other than that I don't know. Technicality?

BBM

The general public elected them
I will answer, as I only can, with my opinion as a parent. And I’m answering on only opinions formed by the depositions. And they are just that…opinions.

I believe PM really needed help. He had already been through a court ordered alcohol program. The boat crash would have upset me on more than one level. I would be terrified that the next boating accident victim would be my son.

Depositions show who attended the parties before the crash. Although there were family members there, no one had the authority over those young people to say…”Give us those boat keys…you are going home with us!” That would have scared me as a parent too.

Why was he seemingly subjected to no control against poor judgement?

I think I would have opted for tough love and made that known.

He needed to be ‘scared straight.’

PM’s future would not be ruined. There is enough family money and influence that, once recovered, he could have had a very good life.
Plus, everyone loves redemption stories. There were many that didn't help Aaron Hernandez out by letting him get away with horrible crimes. Or even the afflluenza kid. But a kid from a respected family that pays the price and changes........now that would be lauded.

Yes, I had just edited to ask if they were being technical. If this is the case then the firearm just about had to be the M's unless there was someone else at the scene that had their gun confiscated.
I think I'll go with it being the M's for now.
