Yes, I couldn't agree more, poor Maggie has gotten lost among all of the "Bad Boys" Murdaughs.

Really is a shame for her and her family. I hope there are some answers for them in the very near future!
I have become fairly convinced that Maggie was coming to understand what she was involved in before her death. I'm not sure if it was only immediately before or long before and I can understand that she would have been reluctant to believe that her own life might have been in danger even with people dying around her. I'm sure that between Alex and Paul there was a very standard web of lies surrounding her at all times.

I think the pressure between Alex's lies and Paul's lies is what finally sparked this fire.

I agree about Maggie. She asked for an audit? She knew something was up IMO

First, it can be the same type of crime/racketeering activity committed twice. For example mail fraud committed twice, once in September and once in October is enough. As long as it meets the other requirements -- e.g., committed within a ten year period and committed in connection with a criminal enterprise. The 35 crimes listed are just the type of crimes covered by the law. RICO is a federal law so I think any RICO charges against a defendant would be brought by the Feds. I'm not a RICO expert by any means. But that's my understanding. JMO.
Sure hope it comes to pass, thanks for the corrections and info, it's appreciated

Imagine both attorneys on your case are in it just to make money for themselves. AM gets to ‘appoint’ the other attorney to file the claims so the results can be just like he wants them to be. In reality she was sold out before it was ever filed.

Did she really need another attorney? Seems like AM could have filed the claim himself.

It makes you wonder how many other cases like this took place over the many years.
Exactly right. Hope everyone involved is looked at to see if they were also illegally benefiting.

“Everybody took the word of Alex Murdaugh because when Gloria Satterfield fell down the stairs she had a traumatic brain injury, so she never woke up. She was in coma for 3 weeks in the hospital and died so was never able to explain. Mr. Murdaugh was the one who said their dogs were the one that caused her to trip and fall,” says Eric Bland the attorney for Gloria Satterfield’s estate.

Attorney for Gloria Satterfield’s estate comments on Murdaugh arrest, future prosecution | WCBD News 2
Yes and AM's lawyer has said repeatedly that AM wasn't there when GS tripped and fell over the dogs. So who told him she fell over the dogs, the dogs? I'd say it probably has to be at least one of three people, MM, BM or PM. Who was home besides the dogs to see them caused her fall? There in lies the rub. There HAS to be a police report right? A helicopter flew her to the hospital, who called for the helicopter or who called AM to say she was injured?

If it winds up there was no report generated, as well as the not reporting to the coroner and listing her death as "natural", Murdaughs got some more 'splainin to do.

Perhaps there was no "trip and fall". What if Gloria Satterfield really did die of natural causes and Alex told her family that she fell? And then Alex kept the insurance money (half a million or 4 million or something in between).

It appears from reports, that she had a head injury sufficient to cause her to become comatose. My question would be, not were there natural causes, but rather, did she instead die from an act of violence? Perhaps perpetrated by an angry, impatient hot-head?

Remember, a "wrongful death" suit resulted from this death. One of the Cook brothers referenced a possibility for violence in an offhand comment, that I think requires much scrutiny, which I hope will now ensue.

Each day that passes we see more hidden corruptions of an empire. An empire which is utilizing motivational type speaking but... in a devious manner.

“Business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.”
“There are secret opportunities hidden inside every failure.”
“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”
“Decide what you want, and then act as if it were impossible to fail.”
“Victory comes from finding opportunities in problems.”
“If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.”
“If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later.”
“Don’t wait for the right opportunity: create it.”
“To see an opportunity we must be open to all thoughts.”
“Opportunity is everywhere. The key is to develop the vision to see it.”

Wonder how often audits were done at the firm, last activity at indemnity ins is february. MM asking for audit could have raised eyebrows. I am not sure how much BM &PM would have known if AM & MM were having trouble if they were. BM not living close may not have known & PM just being home from college.

Not sure what to think anymore.

She lingered in the hospital for three weeks before she died. I'm sure the physicians attending her would have know if she had a heart attack, or kidney failure or severve BP problems. I'm sure they could adequately diagnose what didn't cause her to collapse and fall leaving the obvious trip or stumble or push as their choices.

It would be one thing if there was an aggressive attorney acting on the S family's behalf and tried to get them a massive payday so he could benefit himself. But in this case, on top of the greed is swindling the family out of what should have been theirs - that is outrageous.

AM, the personal injury attorney, the employer of the 'trip and fall' victim didn't appear to do anything to help her family as he promised, instead lining up his friends for their own benefit.

That was my exact same thought upon reading Harpootlian’s statement.

Also, given that AM is likely destitute if relieved of stolen $ - and the delinquent RE taxes further point to this -, I wonder how Harpootlian expects to be paid for his continuing services to him?
Daddy probably left it for him in the will... JMO

I am not clear who was in the house when the accident happened. Was she alone when she fell and then was found or did someone see it happen? Was this accident indoors or outdoors? Who called for medical help?

I've read somewhere that her death certificate reads natural causes. And there was no autopsy.
