AM was at his own house. Washing off and changing clothes would have been quick and easy.
It's hard to get rid of all blood. But who knows how thorough LE was that night. JMO.

Does anyone else find it strange that DH always refers to Waters to the jury
as the District Attorney? Is he trying to give the impression that they brought out the big gun to try his client…trying to offset the Murdaugh name around there?

Yep it's a game, a tactic...

When AM "found" the victims, did he recognize his son by his clothes or size or what?
Not by his face for sure.

Yes, and how AM's brother was man handling Maggie's phone.
What else happened?

If Alex had a raincoat on and was standing just outside of the feed room and shot Paul who was inside the feed room, the blowback would be behind Paul on walls and ceilings IMO.

Remember Dick kept reminding us time and time again that Paul's brain was blown out the back of his head. :(

Maggie was shot as she was running away, so that blood spatter would have been propelled forward. I can see how AM wasn't covered head to toe in blood.

I didn't understand Poot's point that AM couldn't have done it because Maggie's phone was found half mile away and that AM was calling her. 'He would have had to be Houdini.' What?

He said the car data shows he was in his car calling her at 9:06 p.m., at the same time that the phone was being thrown on the side of the road a half a mile away.

I call bs that there's evidence that both the phone was being discarded at that exact time and that they have the precise location of him compared to the phone at that time.

Alex Murdaugh CRIES during opening statements at his double murder trial as prosecutor says a 'family weapon' was used to kill his wife and gunshot residue was found on his seatbelt

  • Murdaugh, 54, is accused of shooting his wife, Maggie, 52, and younger son Paul, 22, at their hunting lodge in South Carolina's Lowcountry on June 7, 2021
  • Prosecutor Creighton Waters opened the case describing how Murdaugh first killed son with buckshot, before turning an AR-15-style rifle on his wife
  • He cited evidence from gunshot residue found a raincoat that was discovered at Murdaugh's mother's home. He also said residue was discovered on his seat belt
  • Murdaugh appeared distraught as his lawyer Dick Harpootlian described how Murdaugh arrived home to 'find his son ... with his brains lying at his feet'

They did a cursory check of the home, but did not secure it as part of the crime scene. I thought that was a mistake from the beginning.

Gloves, raincoat, change of clothes.....voila'.

I did notice that DH admitted it was unusual for AM to visit his mom at that time of night.

I still don't get it. He could have been in his car calling her on his cell as he tossed her cell on the side of the road -- a half a mile isn't that far. But I get your point that it probably wasn't exactly the same time. JMO.

I doubt if his mother would testify or if it would even be able to be admitted because she is diagnosed with Dementia. IDK maybe one of our legal eagles can answer that.
