Please correct me if I am wrong, but was also raining that night. If not it would be easy have a Garbage bag, strip off clothes place in bag go into house showeretc.

My understanding was that the rain started about 45 minutes after LE arrived on scene.

MOO.

I want to know more about the water.
DM sure move off of that fast. MOO
Me, too!

I meant to bring that up earlier. hope it comes up again because I wasn't even sure about what water the prosecutor was referring to, etc.

What I've noticed in video of AM getting in & out of the jail transport vehicle every day is how very, very tall he is in comparison to those (LE) around him.

So, will angle of ballistics figure into this at all? In photos, both Maggie and Paul seemed significantly shorter than AM. Or would AM have been shooting from far enough away that angle of ballistics wouldn't figure into it?

MOO.

Recap of court today:

At the end they talk about Paul's truck and that puddle of water -- they seem to think the state was trying to imply that AM washed blood off in the water. JMO.

That scary still photo of AM from the bodycam …it reminds me of what Gloria Satterfield’s family lawyer said today…
Remember, AM is a master actor!

Edited to add “master” actor
What horror.
MOO
Is that what he wants us to believe he wore down to see his invalid mother?

He looks like he's been working out.

I saw that the Daily Mail reported that Buster was going to testify against his father, but I think that's false.

According to the official witness list submitted to the courts, Buster is a potential witness for the defense. The only Murdaugh on the prosecution witness list is Randy Murdaugh. He is listed as a witness for both prosecution and defense. I'm guessing he'd be classified as a hostile witness for the prosectution.

Does anyone understand what "hostile witness" means from a practical standpoint in the US justice system?

If AM had touched Paul and Maggie to see if they were breathing (like he said during the 911 call), I would think there would be no way his white shirt would be so clean. He would surely have at least some blood on his hands that then got on his shirt. And his hands would have shown traces of dried blood, imo. And he would have had to kneel to inspect either of them since they were flat on the ground. Did he have sand/grass ground into his knees? He looks way too clean to have been at a gruesome scene where it was said that there was definitely blood and brain matter, he admitted on the call to touching them, yet he looks pretty clean on the body cam photo.

MOO.

It usually means a witness who is hostile or adverse to the side that is calling them as a witness. If the judge rules that a witness is hostile to the party that called them, that party can cross examine (ask leading questions to) the witness. Normally you can not ask leading questions of your own witness.

Very good point! IMO

The other thing I'm wondering...

DH has said AM and Paul were riding around looking at trees (was that before or after dinner the three ate at the house?). And, since neither Maggie's nor Paul's vehicles were near/at the dog kennel area (I'll assume for now they were up near the house instead), I will guess that AM drove them to the kennel area.

Then, murders.

Then, AM left to go to his mom's to create his alibi. Did he leave from the kennel area or did he first run by the house again to wash/change?

When he returned, did he come in the driveway by the kennel end because it's how he always drove in or because it was the closer entrance driveway when coming from his mom's or because he knew there was a scene there for him to "discover"?

If he was innocent & actually turned in & saw the bodies, why/when did he have the wherewithal to take his truck around the "lean-to" building so that his vehicle could be parked to shine the lights on Paul? (I think that's what was described during testimony today, correct?)

To borrow from @LetsSolvIt 's photo with labels in the media thread, I've added where I think (& I could be **totally** wrong) AM's car might have been. If so, why would he come in that way so late, after dark, drive around the building & "know" to look there? Or did he drive straight in (parallel to the kennels), then stop when he noticed Paul? When he went to the house to get a gun while waiting on LE, how did he drive? Past Paul, possibly obliterating evidence? Or back up a little, then circle the "lean to" building, then up to the house? When did he see or discover Maggie? It seems like she might have been slightly around a corner of the building?

I would like to know the supposed car movements. All of them.

This entire post is very much my own speculation & MOO.

ETA:

And a closeup of that photo with the vehicle headlights on...

What was explained by Chapman (I think it was Chapman's testimony) today was that this was the second position of Alec's car. That is where he parked after he went up to the house to get a firearm because he told the 911 dispatcher he didn't feel safe. Chapman further testified that the headlights were shining on Paul. MOO.

Of course, I'm wondering if he really didn't feel safe, why would he stand outside by his car and wait for LE? Why didn't he stay up in the locked house until they arrived? MOO.

Excuse my poor drawing skills....

Here's an aerial photo (from the real estate site when it was listed for sale) that mostly shows where the house (bottom center of the photo) was in relation to the kennels/lean-to shed (upper center left of the photo), the two driveway entrances, the road.

Now, I want to know where/how AM drove his vehicle at various times coming & going....

MOO.

ETA: My drawings are not to scale, the road may be further away, etc. This is just to show a general layout....
I came away with the impression that LE thought AM's car had been driven from the house to the kennels twice via the same route and it seemed to me that route was not out on to the public road and back into the property, but instead was through/on the Moselle property. But maybe my assumption is wrong. JMO.

BBM: You know this makes sense because the AG's theory is that AM shot them, went to his Mom's house, and then came back to feign just finding them.

Alec takes them all down after dinner and that's when Paul captures the video of them talking about the dogs and the chicken. Then bam, the murder occurs. Alex leaves and his travels fill the next hour.
And AM had no idea Paul was using video and c a p t u r i n g everything!!!

Overall it means they really don’t want to be there, to the extent they can sometimes be combative. A rebel.

Oh! Well forget walking that far in my flip flops...an't happening. I didn't realize it was THAT far. So yes I'd agree he gave them a ride. That way he could keep them from getting to a vehicle when he pulled out the first weapon.

My thought was... I could walk that far in flip flops myself. But..., there's no way I'd do it at dusk in summer on wooded land like that -- could be snakes around. And you don't want to startle a snake when you've got flip flops on. Imo.

Other than the water I don't like how DM stands up right next to prosecution while they are questioning!

I very well could have missed it, but has there been any official statement on who is thought to have been shot first? I originally had thought that the bodies were further apart than what they were. However from what I'm seeing from studying the diagram and many photos of the area from different angles, they weren't really that far apart in the grand scheme of things. That now brings me to who was shot first and why the use of 2 separate fire arms for 1 shooter. I'm beginning to rethink my initial impression of this, but I don't want to be swayed by hear-say or rumor, I prefer to form my ideas based on official statements rather than conjecture.
