Just peeked in on this trial, and I just gotta say, WOW! I'm completely new to this case/trial as of a week ago. I have heard the name Murdaugh, but other than that had no idea what the case was about. Until two nights ago. My s/o started telling me about it and asked if I was following it. I'm just catching up, and, Wow. In trying to keep it straight, I just jotted this down.

May all of the victims rest in peace, and may Lady Justice be blind.

AM is charged with the murders of his youngest son, PM, and his wife, MM, he has more than 90 additional charges. This case resulted in opening investigations into three other deaths.

07-08-2015; Stephen Smith is found dead, on the road.
02-26-2018; Gloria Satterfield, 57, died after a trip and fall accident at the Murdaugh family home
02-24-2019; PM wrecks boat, Mallory Beach dies.
O6-07-2021 PM and his mother MM, are murdered. At about 10 p.m. AM makes a call to 911. His wife, and youngest son, had been shot at their estate.
09-04-2021; AM shot in head (admitted it was a scheme w/a former client)
09-07-2021; AM resigns from the family law firm. Enters drug treatment.
10-14-2021; AM arrested, and charged, after leaving drug treatment, on suspicion of misappropriating the Satterfield settlement funds ($4.3 mil.)

The jury is made up of eight women and four men from occupations such as retail, medicine, construction, and education.

There doesn't have to be much. He is there. AM is sunk.

imo

It's on record that he's there at the time when either he or someone else killed PM and MM.

Neither AM or MM's phone would record steps if in the truck when he called her phone

Oh here we go with the Faraday bags again.

Underwhelming audio of the Snapchat IMO although I believe I hear AM. They’ll probably just say it wasn’t him.

ETA: listened again from what I recorded from the trial. I hear AM. But will the jury have the benefit of being able to rehear and study the video/audio??

Can’t they get expert witnesses to do the forensics to determine the voice source?

I could hear a dog and two voices. I've always said there is a fine line between actors and lawyers. I think AM proves my point.

I don't think the defense's argument that there were no "steps" that showed MM and AM's phones moving at the same time holds much merit - as the prosecution is pointing out on redirect, AM's phone wasn't showing any steps prior to 9:02 PM (I believe he had left it at the house during this time). MOO.

ETA: AM's phone didn't show any steps from 8:09 PM until 9:02 PM.

Loving how the Defense is trying to trip the cell phone data expert up and he's not having it...trying to get him to speculate what would occur if someone threw MM's cell phone out on the side of the road.

Edited: wording
This Defense atty is just cell phone jumping from one to the other and then back again with all these different time frames. UGH
I certainly hope that Some of the jury have note pads to take notes.

I realize his MO is to confuse but honestly, I would have lost interest by now listening to him. Plus watching AM rock back & forth and fake crying--OMG

The prosecutor's questioning was much more understandable and made sense and easy to follow along. IMO

You had tried to pique my interest long ago, Betty P. What a catch-up journey it's been! What a case! o_O

It's been mentioned earlier today that none of the jurors have notepads (even though they are available to them).

Dove his holding up extremely well while testifying this long time yesterday and today.

Sounds like AM says - "come here Paul, come here Paul" in that audio played?

Was mentioned on CourtTV couple of days ago that the audio picked up by the microphones in the courtroom used by the various media for their broadcast is not as clear as the audio the jury hears. In other words, what we hear from our TVs, phones, computers is rather garbled in comparison to what the jury is hearing. Apologies if I am being too Captain Obvious. MOO.

A great thing to point out! I believe that those physically in the courtroom heard something much clearer (and more damning IMO) than we were able to hear on the stream!
