Host and guest on CourtTV said the calling of all these witnesses is because Defense will not stipulate chain of custody. In fact refused to stipulate.

They said Defense hopes it bores the Jury and makes them ticked off at the State.

Said it was a tough pill to swallow for the State but gave them kudos for having these witnesses lined up ready to go.

Makes sense JMO

It is so obvious that he is being aloof, as though all of this activity is foolishness to the jury, that it doesn’t apply and it’s going to be appealed anyway.

He is what I refer to as disengaged. This is all beneath him.

I have only loosely followed this case and am now getting caught up during the trial. Looking at family photos of Alex, Paul, Maggie, and Buster together, they all seem to be so uncomfortable, with no light in their eyes or any sign of affection for another. Maybe I am reading too much into things after the fact. This may be obvious to others but I am just now realizing that money/status, or the illusion of it, was the only thing holding this family together. And it all fell apart once Alex lost control of his money schemes.
