Maggie was to meet bank June 8! She was only one on deed of the M estate! Did I hear that right?

According to this statement, the drive home time for AM from his mom's was approximately 15 minutes. (I'll even concede up to 17 or 18 minutes if he spent a couple of minutes looking at Maggie and Paul before calling 911).

But if he arrived at his mom's at 9:20, he could have left Mozelle around 9:05, which would still be after the time that Maggie's and Paul's phones stopped responding to anything.

MOO.

Need a memory refresher: AM's mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

Wasn't she still living at her home with a caregiver the night of the murder? Didn't AM claim he was visiting his mother at her home during the time of the murder? Also, does anyone remember how far AM's mother's home was from Moselle property? Thanks in advance
yes.

no, claimed he was taking a nap at the Moselle main house.

Snip-
Murdaugh told investigators Maggie joined them for dinner that evening and then went down to the dog kennels. Murdaugh said he fell asleep while watching TV, but that Paul must have joined his mother.

He told SLED he never went down to the kennels or saw the two of them again before leaving Moselle shortly after 9 p.m. to visit his ailing mother.

“I stayed in the house,” Murdaugh said.

Senior Murdaugh's home is in Varnville, Google maps states 11 mi., 16 minute drive from Moselle property.

Right! AM had time to rush to his mother's house and return to Moselle during that hour. However, during that time he obviously cleaned up, changed clothes and disposed of the two murder weapons (which LE have not recovered). I am wondering the condition AM was in at his mother's (if he indeed visited her). The nurse who cared for his mother would be able to testify if AM was actually there around 9:30 p.m. and what condition he was in.

I just looked on the Colleton County deed records. The Edisto house was sold in 2022 for $955,000 distributed as below and it appears that it was in both names:

Gun or clothes over on her property? He had months to get rid of everything.???

The motive of covering up financial misdeeds is a bizarre and despicable motive, but it is hardly unprecedented. Look at the Chandler Henderson case, he killed his parents over much less serious issues coming to light.

Indeed and been those killed over less then $50.00, money is a drug itself and those addicted will do monstrous things to have it.

Tweets are from earlier today (before lunch).

2nd to testify: Tony Satterfield - son of longtime Murdaugh housekeeper Gloria Satterfield, who died in a trip & fall Murdaugh told Satterfield he would go after his insurance company to get money for him & his brother to pay for medical bills. Never said how much they would get

Satterfield testified that he heard about a settlement through the media. In June 2021, Satterfield called Murdaugh about the settlement. He claims Murdaugh said the settlement was still making progress - and he was hoping to settle by end of year.

In their cross examination of Satterfield, defense lawyers pointed out that Satterfield could not say whether he called Murdaugh before or after the murders of Maggie and Paul.

3rd to testify: Carson Burney - SC AG's office - forensic accountant. Described how he traced Murdaugh's funds. Talked about his Forge account with Bank of America. Said in January 2019, $403K was deposited in Forge Account from Fleming trust account.

Murdaugh worked w/ Fleming on the Satterfield case. Burney said in May 2019, $2.9M checks from Fleming were deposited in Forge account. Said payments were made to over 10 variations of same name - C. E. Smith (Curtis Edward Smith) No questions from defense.

At this point (11:30 a.m.ish)- the jury entered the courtroom. First official witness of the day - Thomas Edward Darnell - Fingerprint expert Basically found no notable fingerprints on items provided to him from the scene.

Harpootlian pointed out that Darnell never received notes from investigators on scene. Darnell tested the camo shotgun Murdaugh said he held for self protection that night for fingerprints - found nothing clear.

Harpootlian: "Would it surprise you to know Mr. Murdaugh was seen holding that shotgun?" Darnell: "Prints are not always left.”

I think this was Harpootlian against casting doubt on the evidence collected that night. He was again criticizing and questioning the process law enforcement used the night of the murders.

Next 4 witnesses all spoke about buccal swabs they collected after the murders. Big takeaway: Boat crash victims were all swabbed. So were several others. The defense has been implying investigators were quick to identify Murdaugh as their suspect. This challenges that notion

We've now been hearing from Paul Greer with SLED. He's the one who determined the shell casings around Maggie were likely from a .300 blackout rifle...the same gun Paul used to have...that is now missing. The defense has previously said the gun was either lost or stolen.

Greer went over his qualifications - and spent a long time talking about his knowledge about guns. We're now in a lunch break. Court resumes at 2:45

Powerful testimony from the son of Gloria #Satterfield today. She was the Murdaugh's long-time housekeeper. You may remember - Satterfield died after a trip & fall at the Murdaugh's Colleton Co. property. Alex Murdaugh has admitted to scamming Satterfield's sons out of millions

The jury was not able to hear this testimony today because the Judge has not made a ruling yet on whether the prosecution will be able to tell them about Murdaugh's finance troubles.

Satterfield told the courtroom he actually spoke on the phone w/ Murdaugh in June 2021 (the same month Maggie & Paul were murdered) after he heard a settlement had been reached. He said M. told him they were 'still making progress' & he was hoping to settle by end of the year.

2.4 million to cousin Eddie. For what? I wonder if cousin Eddie had some dirt on AM?
I don't think Cousin Eddie saw much, if any, of that 2.4M. He was merely a go-fer to Alex, IMO.

I like Paul Greer and the way he addresses the jury directly. As a person completely unfamiliar with guns and ammunition, I also appreciate his explanations.

When true crime finds true Deep South it’s embarrassingly entertaining if you’re from here.
LOL, I agree. Born and raised in the South, just 3 1/2 hours from Charleston.

After listening to some of AM's released jailhouse calls, I really think he's adjusted well to incarceration. He immediately mastered how to increase the maximum canteen balance allowed and/or "win" additional merch by gambling (i.e., betting on football).

He consistently comments that the warden and trustees are very courteous.

AM comes off as a politician, he appears to adjust to his environment. And probably more important, AM is an alpha, and behind bars, he will forever feel superior to the company he's keeping. MOO
LOL, that is exactly what I was doing last night; watching and listening to the jailhouse phone calls. Interesting.

Good possibility. Looking forward to nurse's aid's testimony. If his alibi was true, she and AM's mother would have been the last people to see AM between the murder and 911 call.
