I've always has this nagging feeling that Alex committed the murders because he was ashamed and didn't want his family to know the extent of his crimes. I believe if BM was at Moselle that night he would have been killed as well. JMO
Quoting myself to add:
"Known as "family annihilators", these people, most always men, have a profound need for control that drives them to destroy their family when they can no longer provide for them financially or when the family has been divided by divorce. (With men who commit murder-suicides there tends to be a catalyst such as a financial or personal defeat that they view as catastrophic".

Supposedly, gentlemen sitting in the first row (pew) are security.
When court recessed for the day early because the FBI agent had to review some papers, I noticed the whiskered fellow who always sits directly behind Alec pulled a microphone out of his inside breast pocket and started radioing someone. It was the kind of microphone with a springy cord like telephones used to have. My impression was that he was relaying Alec's movements as they were removing AM from the courtroom. So yes, I think he and his side kick to the right are security in a logistical kind of way. (I doubt either of them could wrestle Alec to the ground as big as he is.)

I also noticed the last day or so during "standups" and short breaks someone with a sheriff vest moves out in front of the defense desk, to stand in front of AM.

I hope they are beginning to take Alec more seriously now as a potential killer -- as in realizing if he could shoot his wife and son, he could devise a plan to grab a guard's gun in the courtroom (since he not in handcuffs).

Only thing missing -- a mistress. I'm shocked that there hasn't been evidence of one.

But I guess it's possible, that his only mi$tre$$ was money.

From a panel on AB tonight:

‘Defense is using the state’s witnesses as character references for AM. Most everyone is consistently testifying about how good of a friend, father and husband he was. He was at every event for the boys, he would do anything to help and show up for people, etc’

Also Eric Bland mentioned that DH has been unusually quiet the last 2 days.
But as VP/Court TV, wearing his prosecutor hat is saying -- BUT AM wasn't any of those things: He was a slick, phony, manipulator and a terrible lawyer that stole from his family, partners, and their clients -- the same people that are saying he was a nice guy! Hence the question: did you really know AM?

Thanks @Cindizzi that is what I was questioning earlier. The defense objected to this text or email, but then had Annette read it on their cross.
I just saw it for the first time, trying to catch up on what I missed this morning! I should have tagged you ;)

Yep! And in the photo right above, Mr. Whiskers seems to have a black ear phone, which I also thought I noticed him wearing in court. Glad he and all the security are around. I think AM is capable of pulling anything at this point. Alec must be feeling more and more trapped as he hears all the evidence against him. MOO.

Adding: For those who speculate that AM might have had an out-of-state friend call in the bomb threat -- if Judge Newman had handled his announcement with less calm, it's possible there might have been panic and confusion with people leaving the courthouse affording someone an opportunity to try to make a run for it. OMO.

Anyone think one of the very brief (only seconds) "parks" could have been a momentary pause to sling MM's cell phone into the brush?

Seems like the Defense will argue that several clients could have hated Alex because of the stealing (motive); killing Maggie and Paul would not solve his law firm stealing problem; he loved his family; and the State's time line doesn't make sense (not enough time to get rid of guns and blood). I'm not saying I agree with these points, just thinking what the defense can argue about reasonable doubt.

Has there been any mention of Paul being in the right place at the wrong time? I think at times AM may have real tears for Paul and that he would like people to think that his tears are for Maggie too. It works to his advantage.

Didn't know that. This means they would have just gotten that statement.
