Depravity is such an apt description! Is the total sum the Sutterfield's have apparently now collected- around 7M?- the money they should have been paid, plus interest and/or penalties? I think her death was the result of an accident, and that the criminality came afterwards. I rather enjoy the thought that the those young men have more money than they can probably ever spend, whilst AM is being exposed for what he really is, and faces a lifetime of imprisonment.

I so hope Cousin Eddie testifies today. He knows where the bodies are buried, and that AM is willing to sacrifice at least his freedom. I'd very much like to hear what he has to say......

Yes, hopefully it will be sweet delicious karma when AM is put away for his natural life and Gloria’s boys have financial security for the rest of their lives. I believe the young man who testified said his brother has special needs. Alex Murdaugh - how could you? I mean my God.

He is born into a life that most of us could never imagine. I wonder if he sits in court everyday and thinks geez, I really f-ed this up.

Not only did the Murdaugh name pop up in tips and rumors, Randy Murdaugh was actually on the scene and got to go through the crime tape. Hours later, according to Stephen's twin sister, the second call her father got after the coroner was Randy Murdaugh offering his services for free. Either Randy is the literal epitome of the ambulance chasing lawyer stereotype or something is weird as all heck.
He is both..and covering up for AM and PM in my opinion. I just re watched the Good Morning America interview of John Marvin and Randy ten days after the murders. John Marvin said Alex told him that night to come quick, that Paul and Maggie had been hurt. (Not shot, not killed, and this was after the 911 call). AM was already distancing himself from their deaths in my opinion. And why did AM ask the responding officer several times if he checked them, and were they really dead? Good grief. Even if the murders were a set up, and I personally believe they weren’t, AM is a very poor actor.

I would almost guarantee that he’s thinking *poor me—someone else really messed this up.” Otherwise he’d have to own some responsibility, and that is not his style. I think he saves the mea culpas for ingratiating himself into access to more of what he wants, and I hope his chances of that are done. MOO.

AM ultimately confessed the judgment and Flemming's malpractice covered the entire $4.3 settlement. Flemming's defense was that he too was a victim of AM. AM even manipulated the judge to sign the judgment but not file it (i.e., no public record)!

The lawyer for Satterfield's sons also sued Bank of America and the personal rep and the latest number for the total awards for the sons exceeds $7M. MOO

This is a good summation of the Satterfield matter from PEOPLE:

Alex Murdaugh had allegedly said that Satterfield died after tripping over his family's dogs, Bland told PEOPLE previously.

"After the funeral, he came up to the two sons and said, 'Hey, look, I'm going to recommend that you go see this attorney Cory Fleming, and he's going to represent you two in the estate and bring claims in connection with your mother's death,'" Bland told PEOPLE previously.

"He doesn't tell the boys, 'Oh, by the way, this is a lawyer that was my best friend, my college roommate," Bland told PEOPLE.

Though a death settlement of $505,000 was approved, Bland told PEOPLE his clients "haven't been paid one dime since this was settled in 2020."

The $505,000 isn't all that Bland alleges his clients never received.

After he filed the Sept. 15 lawsuit on behalf of his clients, Bland said he discovered a missing judge's order approving a $4.3 million settlement.

The documents were signed by a judge, Bland says, but never filed.

According to the Order Approving Settlement filed in 2019 in the Hampton Court of Common Pleas, the sons were supposed to receive $2.765 million of the $4.3 million settlement.

Ahh so the scam was to get the sons to sue - in order to access AM's insurance cover - but then AM diverted the funds - perhaps with the assistance (unwitting?) of Fleming. Flemings PI subsequently covered the loss.

I could never be in this jury. I have such a visceral dislike for the entire family, living and dead.

And their attorneys.
I was a member of the jury on a murder trail years ago and it struck me that the defense went with the "Family man, loving father and so that trail as well. Despite not having every piece of that puzzle the defendants shady actions leading up to and after the killings which included setting up calls from other locations and ditching the weapon was found guilty. The key point was a single photo of the perp leaving the scene and the thing was the person taking the photo was a neighbor who was taking pic's of his car to put up for sale in the time frame of the murders. The defendants body language didn't help at all when every time crime scene photos were put up he would drop his head and then sneak looks over at the jury to note our reactions. On a sidenote the murder weapon was found several weeks later in another neighbors Koi pond when they were cleaning it. Reasonable doubt, fully understand that and the cards that are played in the legal system but don't forget to follow the crumbs before and after the crime though some want to separate money dealings and killings, good luck with that. The murder was over a life insurance policy on several family members, sad to say.

@arielilane

Would you be able to add to your wonderful timeline the additional financial crimes as shown in the video @Cindizzi posted?

Yes, Alex was fraudulently adding to his bottom line year after year.

The amounts he has stolen from folks who needed THEIR money makes me sick. He makes me sick.
Not a timeline; however, see indictments against AM.

Looking for a timeline to post ...

Will post timeline if one is located.

Attorney General Wilson stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.

You can read the indictments here, here, here, here, and here.
