Visual aids would have helped A TON. Just to help put things in perspective. There are too many numbers and things to remember without a visual imprint. The jury isn't allowed to take notes so they are going to have to go with their memory. Yeah, they'll have all this evidence before them but it will just be numbers which will confuse them even more. I've tuned out practically all of the testimony this morning.

It may be that no demonstrative exhibits/visual aids are allowed until closing arguments. I heard a reporter say that the jury is allowed to take notes but chose not to. I think Waters will winnow this down effectively for the jury in closing. Hopefully he can use visual aids at that point. JMO.

The return trip to the house for the shotgun has always been confusing to me, but now I see. I think he needed to get back in the vehicle post-crime-scene-discovery to explain any evidence in the car. He knew there would be no explainable reason for GSR or blood if he did not get back in. Just best practice for stirring in some confusion.

It is very important testimony. The presentation doesn’t have to be entertaining but it does need to be organized and clear.

You have to assume that some of the jurors may be suffering from Super Bowl Flu and have zoned out a long time ago.

If I was a Juror I think I’d be struggling to concentrate after learning that 2 Jurors have Covid and were being replaced by alternates, too.

I’d try my hardest of course, but that news would be overwhelming the front of my mind.

I would definitely be zoning in and out during this hard to follow testimony.

It’s been torture for a non-Juror!

Yup for who would leave a possible active shooter situation just to come back with a weapon with the wrong ammo in it. I'm up at the house barricaded inside, back against the wall and behind my thick oak desk with multiple weapons on hand and ammo to spare. I'd be the phone the entire time giving Police a play by play as well.

So I have been a total GUILTY forever here...but now, even if the State can summarize and make sense somehow in closing of all the evidence so far showing that AM is guilty...I just don't see the jury saying guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. At all.

I don't know how they're keeping anything straight. My life is made up of notebooks, notepads, loose leaf paper and Post It's! With all of the numbers, dollar amounts and times I'm pretty sure I'd only retain an 1/8 of the info. MOO

Notes by jurors can expressly be taken in these states:
Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Unless something has changed, jurors are definitely allowed to take notes in SC. I've seen it in two other trials Nathaniel Rowland (2021 with Judge Newman) and Michael Colucci (2018 with a different judge).
