But killing Paul didn't really stop the Beach suit

The lawyer representing the Beach family has testified in this case and stated again earlier this week that he knew that if it looked like it was going to be vigilantes who killed Paul and Maggie in retaliation for the boat crash, that he'd never get a jury to return a harsh financial award against Alex. He said he knew he'd have to drop it if that was the case. So the case actually did stall out and go on hold during the immediate months after the shooting...until it started to become clear to him and many others that Alex was the murderer.

A lot of numbers have been tossed out so I might have missed it but is there a more definitive time of death? I know there is speculation and I may have missed it but it could be far longer than seconds. Prosecutors started this trial saying between 8:30 and 10:06 and the coroner stated 9-9:30
I am not sure about the exact time (off the top of my head), would have to look that up. But I was referring to how soon after PM got off his phone to when the murder probably happened, they explained it but I can't find it right now, something about the last message between PM and his friend (the friend who owned the other dog at the kennel). Might have to Google a bit to find that again.

We know that about $2.3M of his stolen funds went to Cousin Eddie (CSmith), and many, many cash draws to AM personally.

Personally, I've never believed the money blown on opioids ($$$ sufficient to kill a herd of elephants) so that leaves either some serious gambling or AM was being blackmailed over something more important to him than his family. JMO

Correct. Think about that $2.3M to Smith alone. That is not just normal drug dealing or whatnot. I'm not saying it's correct but a theory I've had was this was some form of message to AM. Killing his son and wife in front of him. You'd think he'd speak up by that but who knows how deep he's in. He obviously wasn't flush financially even with the stealing. I'm not sold on that theory but does check a few boxes for me.

MM’s sister is such a pretty lady and so composed, given the situation.

Listening to Maggie's sister just hammers home how senseless this all was. A truly innocent woman murdered for what? Even Paul with the boat crash hanging over his head was in no way deserving of being murdered. They were loved.

And then we hear that Maggie told her sister Alex called her to come to the house because his dad was not doing well and that Paul was going to be coming as well. Her understanding was that they were going to visit Alex father.

Or we could look at the tactic AM used during his fake suicide/murder to take the heat off himself once again. More deaths would again divert attention from him to looking for a posse of killers running amok on the property.

This is what makes the most sense to me about ALL of Alex's doings. Any man that hire's someone to kill him to get insurance money to his only remaining son is capable of anything! ANYTHING!

I can't remember but is any of that botched suicide coming in at any point?

She really is! She looks…and sounds a lot like Maggie…..a real steel magnolia, this one!

MM's sister states that the boat accident was a "horrible accident, but it was an accident", and that Maggie's life "wasn't a lavish life but it was comfortable". Wow, are we talking about the same family here. Privileged.
