Does anyone know what the poll is now? Guilty vs Not?

Someone on Law&Crime said their bells went off when BM said he never saw a replacement gun for PM, that PM just used BM's Blackout AR. They think maybe AM never gave that replacement gun to PM. It could be the murder weapon used on MM and that the prosection may use that in their closing. That's why prosecutor didn't ask BM about saying that he'd never seen PM with it.

Except Will Loving testified to seeing the replacement gun, that in March or April he was with Paul when they bought a sight for it, and then he shot it with Paul . They shot it outside the gun room, which would explain why there were shell casings found there. Loving also said that this gun was kept in the gun room as far as he knew.

Buster seems to be oblivious to a lot of stuff that happens in the family.

Also imo, I don't put much stock into anything any pundit says about this case. They don't care enough to get the facts right.

This man is on the Defense Witness List. Expert in crime scene analysis. I think he was involved in the Michael Peterson/The Staircase documentary but not sure. Just saw some Twitter rumblings.

Well why in the heck didn't they wait for him!? Why pay the engineer $350 an hour and travel to testify all day? Makes no sense to me. Has he always been on the list or a new add-on?

He’s been on there since January.

What is really wicked is if Maggie wrote a check and picked up the very gun Alex ordered that she was shot with that night.

Surely the premed of their murders doesn't date back to 2018 ordering $875 naked gun? Nah. Boat wreck was FEB 2019. Then, why didn't Paul use it?

Alex Murdaugh trial: Maggie Murdaugh may have bought gun that killed her - for her dead son

FEB 3, 2023
Murder victim MM may have purchased, picked up, and delivered the very gun that took her life on the night of June 7, 2021 – a gun purchased for her son, Paul, who was also shot and killed ...

SLED Firearms Examiner Paul Greer testified Fri < > that fired S & B 300 Blackout cartridges found near Maggie’s bloody body showed “matching mechanism marks” when compared to spent S & B 300 Blackout cartridges found near the door of the Murdaugh’s “gun room” < >, and at their shooting range.

“It is my conclusion that these items had been loaded into and ejected from the same firearm at some point in time,” testified Greer. < >

< > Maggie herself picked up and paid for that black, stripped down AR rifle on April 14, 2018 – at a cost of $875 – and delivered the weapon to her son [whiskey tango]– a firearm that may have pumped multiple rounds into her fleeing body.

< > Maggie had been killed with a “family weapon,”

Ahhhh yes that's right!! The ballistics on the shells found there matched the murder shells! Thank you for the reminder

Did y’all hear DF ask the witness if you would be able to hear a cat meowing from the house ( or something like that ) ?

Listen at 14:28

IRRC one of Paul's friends (I can't remember which one) testified that he and Paul put a different scope on it and fired it from the back steps at Moselle to site in the scope.

Buster sure did seem oblivious, especially to the pills/drug use. This seems to go against the defense’s portrayal of a close knit happy family. from Buster’s testimony today didn’t seem like they really talk to each other despite what the phone records show.

He did used it on the property with his friend Will and those shells match the ones that killed MM...as Smelly Squirrel just reminded me. I forgot about that

He was on a losing team if participated in that one. I’m sure this guy will point out all the crime scene collection flaws.
AM had the wherewithal to shoot them away from his house but yet on his property, be the one that discovers & touches everything, cries his narrative to 911. I’m sure that’s why he drove back like a bat outta Almeda so no one else would find them.

MOO

It feels to me like Buster distanced himself from the family a while ago. He said dad went to rehab in 2018, but didn’t know much about it since then, as opposed to Paul, who was on the lookout.

I thought Buster did well and was fairly neutral. Then again, I believe the defense knew not to put Buster in a position to expect him to lie and perjure himself.

I don’t get how all of the crime scene people missed that buckshot pellet in the windowpane. And why the state tried to suggest it could have just been there wasn’t a good look either. The witness would have been better to just talk about finding it and the numbers of shot without declaring it to be “the one”.

Who remembers when the Court made an Objection this afternoon when the Prosecution had made no objection to Dick for leading the witness?

Judge Newman: Sustained.
Defense: There was no objection.
Judge Newman: The Court objects!

That was one of the top highlights of the day for me. “The court objects”

You don’t hear that often. This judge is on his game and I feel he can see through the bs. He’s not worried about stepping on anyone’s toes, no matter who they are.

The graphic of the shooters reminds me of the dancing baby meme

Just when I thought I got "PUPPY, BABY, MONKEY" out of my head!

I also noted that Fernandez had Sutton identify from whom he got the weapons he used in his acoustics study/test. None other than our fabulous defense attorney and good friend, Jim Griffin. ;)

This doesn't seem to be going to well for this witness. Sounds like some sloppy investigating. That graph is laughable. What is this guy exactly an expert on?
