He’s admitting that his relationship to his victims - and all that that relationship would and should normally mean to most human beings - was no protection to them.
Most importantly, these people were/are vulnerable and trusted someone hired to look out for their best interests. AM had superior knowledge and training to perform his duties and he blames everything on an oxycodone addiction. Nothing is ever his fault. His words ring hollow to me. What he put those people through is unforgivable. I'm sure that on top of pain and suffering, there was insurmountable debt piling up on each client.

Since AM is in the middle of testimony, am I correct in thinking he will not be able to confer with his lawyers tonight and tomorrow morning before he returns to the stand? Or is it permissible for DH and JG to advise him?
I wonder if he'll be ill tomorrow.

Did anyone think the defense's morning with Alex went well? I didn't. It sounded very fake and patronizing. The way they tried to discredit some of the State's evidence was weak at best. I don't think they scored many points at all.

Correct. Witnesses are not allowed to confer with anyone regarding their testimony. That's why the court staff ushered him out when he was trying to get to the defense table.

Can’t wait for Waters to flip back AM’s testimony that he caused a lot of damage and havoc on people he cared about.” How did Waters not bite right then with “including murder.” But I know he is masterful and will drop that bomb at the appropriate time for max impact.
Oh I totally agree, he's going to use Alec's own BS words to bury him and I am going to love it. He didn't see anybody as a true person IMO.

Because the jurors need to see how totally immoral and heartless he was---he was stealing from orphans, the disabled, grieving mothers----and lying to their faces pretending to be their friend. It is important for the jury to understand how cold hearted and greedy and selfish he is.

Otherwise it is hard to believe he could kill his family.
This Attorney General will also be prosecuting the Financial Crimes as well.

He prob bought the expensive (phantom) guns he used on MM & PM with stolen client money.

This psychopath man- child.
It’s like Bernie Madoff meets Chris Watts.
IMO

I know they won't have to, but I hope at least some of the jury will agree to be interviewed after this is over. I really want to know what they're thinking.

they are getting nowhere in my opinion..
Yes they are, IMO. The state is getting in VERY important info, like him stealing from a grieving mom who lost her daughter, and this corrupt monster stole ALL of her money.

Or a disabled client, who won a settlement after his accident, and this heartless creep lies to him and his parents and steals the settlement from them.

And 2 young girls, whose Mom was killed---he steals from them while they are waiting to turn 18 and get their settlement.

These are very important facts that the jury needs to understand. This guy didn't just embezzle from some corporate account somewhere----he stole from the most vulnerable victims, who paid him handsomely to protect them. They trusted him and he lied to their faces in their most difficult times of crisis.

THIS is very important groundwork being laid because the jury needs to understand how ruthless, deceitful and coldhearted this greedy monster is.

I’m sure some of them will. You usually get quite a few in a high profile case.

What? I missed that
DH was trying to manipulate the court with the story that his witnesses (a pathologist and another (?)) were present now but if they have to fly home and return after the weekend it would be very expensive for the defense.

Judge said he would not impose on the state and/or interrupt the cross-examination, and after the state estimated another 3-4 hours, the defense was advised to have their witness ready for Friday afternoon. MOO

Mr. Murdaugh:

Do you agree with Jeanne S that you are good at the "art of bull****"?
Do you agree with Mark Ball that you are "cunning"?

Tell me what would prevent him from being one?

His duties, responsibilities, ethical obligations, and trust as their husband and father?

His adherence to duties, responsibilities, ethical obligations, and trust did nothing to protect his clients from his violation of them.

The court is currently in recess until Friday morning. Recess is recess -- just like lunch recess where attorneys can confer with the client.
I don't think the Defense can talk to a testifying witness? MOO
