I can’t find the actual video of the moment he is cuffed and told to be removed him from the court.

That would make my day.
It's in the reading of the verdict video. Here's where the handcuffs are put on Alex Murdaugh. The man putting on the hand cuffs has been wearing civilian clothing and sitting directly behind the suspect throughout the trial.

And just before the verdict is read, Murdaugh is flanked by the Sheriff and deputies.

I'm a couple pages behind but have always thought about this not so much as why Alex DIDN'T take Paul's phone, but why DID he take Maggie's?

I haven't figured it out yet.

He was too busy killing "Mags". Then, I think that he was in a narcissistic rage/high and just forgot about Paul's phone. He was in motion, with his plan to clean off and ditch evidence.

Paul's phone, ironic that it proved that AM was at the scene of the crime. Bubba's chicken, indeed.

I noticed Meadows went over to extend a hand to JG and DH. Class!

Yeah, I think he did it. But I’m skeptical enough to ask: Why wasn’t this jury, in a sensational trial, sequestered? Why was the only ‘not guilty’ juror booted at the last minute. MOO, being from Walterboro, I’m old enough to remember that corruption begats corruption, one corrupt side replaced with the other. The only thing that happened here was a power struuggle that AM was destined to lose. More will come out.

Kudos to the State for all their hard work and professionalism, while under the glare of the media in such a high profile case.

What an amazing prosecution team, SLED, local LE, judge, court staff, and everyone supporting the investigation and conviction.

They all came together and achieved justice for these 2 innocent victims, Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.

May they rest in peace.

Per CTV, JMM was an hour away and wanted the court to hold the verdict until he could get there. Judge said no.

Have I mentioned before how much I love Judge Clifton Newman? ❤️❤️❤️
These are the "moments in time" where this family was used to perks.

I'm going to stick up for my state here. We've had some pretty horrible crimes happen here in the last 7 yrs starting with the murder of Walter Scott by policeman Michael Slager. He was found guilty.

We had the absolutely awful mass shooting of a prayer group at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church by someone I won't name and it was found guilty.

And now this. All the people charged in these highly volatile crimes were served due process, got fair trials and were convicted for their crimes. There were no riots or violence after the fact. The communities came together and JUSTICE was served. I'm so freakin proud of this area and the way the all these different communities came together and let the wheels of justice run their course!

These were high profile cases and the rest of the country looked in on us and have seen things come together in the end. There might have been some rough spots, and there were a lot of opportunities for things to get crazy and out of control and they didn't. There is grace and justice here and I'm damn proud of all South Carolinian's in the way these last 7 years have transpired.

For those still waiting for justice and retribution, there is some hope that justice will prevail and you can get a fair shake down here. As A. G Alan Wilson said, it's a great day for the people of South Carolina! I love this state!!!!! I love Charleston and am so happy to call this place home!

It looks to me like Creighton may have shed a tear or two prior to the PC. He looks absolutely exhausted. Hope the whole group can take a week or so off

You know I get that -- CW's were probably a mixture of relief and a range of other emotions including grief. I am elated with the verdict but my heart is so heavy. I really felt like crying when they cuffed Alec.

This is so, so sad. A man who had all kinds of advantages -- education, financial, social -- and could have done so much good in his community not only threw that all away but brutally took the lives of two other human beings who loved and trusted him. And estranged and effectively orphaned his other son Buster.

I congratulate AG Waters, Johnny Meadors, and the prosecution team; I am grateful to JG and DH for a sound defense; I thank the jury for their discernment; and totally admire Judge Newman for how he conducted his courtroom, but there is more sorrow here than joy. Alex got what he deserved but what a waste. Three precious lives are lost. There are so many left to grieve. Haunting memories. What awful crimes with lasting ramifications for too many innocent people.

And one thing that his been on my heart during the entire trial was that gracious and courageous Judge Newman overseeing the trial of a man who chose to brutally do away with his own son, after he had so suddenly and tragically lost his own. What cruel irony.

As A/G Wilson said, let's everyday hug our loved ones; tell them how much they mean to us, and do the best job we can in fostering those relationships. The jury found justice for Maggie and Paul. We can honor them through how we treat our families. OMO.

Will Alex appear in prison orange garb tomorrow?
Certainly hope so.
He deserves all the humilation possible, and this would be a start.

They are already working on the appeal. They believe the judge was biased, admission of other crimes, among other complaints. I’m sure they will say something about the egg juror.

Where is @worm? She brought the case to WS and has been in for the entirety.

Ego as it is, Alec was probably confident there was nothing on Paul's phone he wanted to erase. No call log to delete, no shared texts. But oh, the sweet irony. I think too Alec was confident no one would, could be able to crack Paul's passcode. Maggie's he thought he could get into. (I wonder if he couldn't -- had she changed hers?) I imagine he planned to delete anything from her phone he didn't want anyone to see.

So fortunate that all three phones told on him.

I think AM 'got the jurors at "hello"....first interview nite of the murders....so creepy. Im so relieved they were able to extract all of the static noise each day, especially while listening to his testimony and remained focused on the evidence combined with motive means and opportunity. his idea of remorse: I loved all of those people I stole from<-----------------------wasnt that crazy! I think he is a narcissistic sociopath. guess it doesnt matter because he has a formal label now ...convicted murderer.

Could it have been an accident? Someone previous mentioned that because she had a dress on that possibly she left it on the cart? Did he drive back with it before he noticed it and panicked. Wasn't there also less steps on MM phone vs AM phone? Just thinking.
