According to JG It was one deliberating juror and 2 alternates for the total of 3 jurors that 'heard' BH's words.

CW made the notation that there is a 10 day requirement for Defense to Motion for New Trial.

Wow, this Judge isn't taking any guff from anybody. DH got up to argue a point that CW made and she stopped him cold.

After hearing Maggie's sisters testimony at trial I doubt she's contributing a penny to his Defense. Agree, maybe some of the other swindling siblings are pitching in.

BM only got $500k out of the Moselle settlement, I don't see him financing Pop's defense, but who knows?

I don't want to speculate too much on Buster's finances since there's no accusation that he's done anything wrong, but keep in mind that he may have also received money from his grandfather's estate, and there may be trust funds or other assets that he can draw on.

Watching the hearing now, and whatever the merits oh his case I don't think Griffin's doing a great job.

He always seems a bit lost, like he doesn't have command of the facts. I think his 'aw shucks' manner works better in a jury trial than in a hearing in front of a judge. Creighton Waters is much better at this.

CW has presented himself as a clear and concise professional attorney during this entire debacle of a case. I admire his dedication to getting resolution in the murder case and the financial case against AM.

Hahaha, the Judge set Harpootlian straight on who is going to be doing the questioning of the jurors. Her. She will be hesitant to include any and every rumor or impropriety alleged by the Court Clerk. This is a hearing for a potential retrial due to allegations of the alleged contact made by BH to the jurors during the trial only.

She will put limitations on wholeside regulations of alleged actions of BH. She's not going to allow all the extraneous questions asked DH wants. Not allowing subpoenas of any of the attorneys or the Judge.

What a smart and direct Judge. Exactly what this case needs.

I think DH and JG now know they're not going to get by with the good ole' boy song and dance with this Judge.

If Harpootlian thought having Judge Newman retire and having a long time buddy appointed in his stead was going to help him….he was very very wrong!
Justice Toal has always been tough and direct and doesn’t suffer fools and she is making a fool out of the defense.

Agree, IMO, they always do. It's like they are used to getting their way and their vedict so they assume they can dog and pony show their way through it.

This is a fantastic COME TO JESUS moment for defense and the public. Finally, some order in this whole debacle. This judge is doing a wonderful job restoring order and faith in the system. I love that she set the defense straight regarding the process and that this is not gonna be some wild wild west cross examination of Ms. Hill. I'm no fan of Ms. Hill but the defense wants to create a circus with all the allegations that have come to light about her and judge is putting the hammer down. Defense wants to examine all these anciliary witnesses while at the same time saying they don't know who they will call to impeach witnesses. Smh.
