"MISSING HIKER ON TABLE ROCK UPDATE- Stephanie Womacks was last seen camping at Table Rock on March 3rd. This weekend marks two months since she was seen or heard from.
I called the Pickens County sheriff’s office to see if there are any updates and spoke with an assistant to Sheriff Blankenship.
She said that every Friday members of the sheriff’s office still go to Table Rock and search. It is informal and some have done it on their time off like this past weekend, a captain took the police dog and searched the area herself.
There are several independent contractors who have contacted the sheriff’s department asking for a search grid and have joined the search as well.
THERE ARE NO OFFICIAL SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS SET UP, but they are still actively looking for Stephanie. There has been nothing new discovered as of right now."

I also contacted the Sheriff's office for some more info. I spoke to one officer but then requested to speak to the captain for further clarity.

Right now it seems she did walk in a straight line towards Table Rock Face. It's possible she could have used White Oaks Trail at least partially but it's uncertain. I also believe there are multiple locations of her belongings and LE seemed to confirm that. I filled out a FOIA request and hopefully try to get more info.

On May 14, the sheriff said in an update that a few additional, smaller-scale searches have been conducted since the wildfires. Most of them were with cadaver K-9s.

“With the foliage growth and the increased encounters with rattle snakes in the area, we are being very careful with sending people off trail at this time,” Sheriff Blankenship said. “We are also staying in contact with the family and updating them on our status and continuing to offer resources to them as needed.”
