The sheriff’s office told WYFF News 4 that its members carry out “informal” searches every Friday.

MAY 14

On May 14, the sheriff said in an update that a few additional, smaller-scale searches have been conducted since the wildfires. Most of them were with cadaver K-9s.

“With the foliage growth and the increased encounters with rattle snakes in the area, we are being very careful with sending people off trail at this time,” Sheriff Blankenship said. “We are also staying in contact with the family and updating them on our status and continuing to offer resources to them as needed.”

No updates. I can't believe this is going the same route as Jason Knapp almost 30 years ago. I don't understand why there hasn't been a new search conducted by the family. They had one planned then canceled due to the fires.
I understand LE needs to withhold information in case of foul play, but they haven't believed that. Seems more like a suicide. I wish they gave more info on the items that were found and if there were multiple locations with her items.

I have decided to revisit Stephanie's case.

Back in late April, I finally got in touch with management for Greenville Water that owns Table Rock Reservoir. I asked for permission to sonar search and map the reservoir. They refused to give me permission. The Sheriff was also unable to get Greenville Water to cooperate with a water search. Not much more I could do at that point.

A couple weeks ago I was in Pickens County to do a search and was able to locate a missing person in water using my sonar search and mapping techniques. Swapnil Srivastava was the person located. After the new year I am going to do another push to get Greenville Water to let me search and map the reservoir.

That's awesome!
