There would be no grievance industry involving LE imo, if LE kept their guns holstered, boots on the ground and fists at their side when confronting an unarmed, non life-threatening person.
The phone industry is making it more and more possible to see exactly what happened in such circumstances and when it differs from 'official' LE statement, that's when the grievances begin. Only when it differs, imo.
Hollywood has played a unique role for LE imo. Movies with no rules for LE, damage caused by them beyond comprehension and the unnecessary taking of lives seems to have had some effect - just like video games are blamed for the actions/in-actions of some people. Jmo. If some members of LE want to star in a youtube video, they might want to use a movie set or their own backyards, and not the public domain.
I think a cost attached to the stats being gathered for LE shootings/beatings will be a wake-up call for all.
