They need to find the phones to back up their case that this was not an abduction and noone stole the phones.

Good lord, I've been so fixated on what was ON the phones, this never even occurred to me!

They need to find Baby Lisa. She has all the evidence they need. Hopefully, it won't be too late.

Phones are secondary.

Well, yes, and possible fingerprints in case there was an abductor.

The search for the cell phones is a "nothing, neither way" thing, advantage-wise, as a predictor of guilt in this matter.

Finding the phones, the information that's on them and the location where they were either thrown or hidden would be a major break in this case IMO.

Can anybody post a screencap of the quarry search? I would really like to see to verify something. I haven't found them posted anywhere.

I second that request.

Since we don't have a discussion for SAR and mapping, I'm going to use this thread for that purpose, if everyone is okay with that.

So...looking at a map of the area, a few things stand out to me.

1. The location of the Irwin home.
2. The location of the neighbor directly across the street (where this Jersey guy was allegedly staying).
3. The street where the man reported seeing a man carrying a baby in a diaper. The couple who reported this reportedly (I haven't verified) live on N Chelsea Ave. If this is correct, the backyard of the house directly across from the Irwin home, goes to N Chelsea Ave.
4. The dumpster fire occurred somewhere near the loop of NE 37th St. If you drew a line from the Irwin's home, through the house across the street to the dumpster fire, you'd cross N Chelsea street.
5. And finally, if I follow this general direction through, I end up in a very interesting area...the wooded area near Brighton and NE 36th St.

(Just thinking outloud for my own benefit.)

Mountain Kat that would be a great area to search..I think the man or woman that started the fire at the dumpster..prolly parked at the apartment there by dumpter..this would not have been a long walk.

I think it might actually be a great idea to separate it out and create a new thread. Mods, what do you think?

Anyone know if LE went door to door at the apartments?
If so were scent dogs taken to the apartment complex.

This is interesting info for those of us mapping.

The home was located near an area where police had been conducting searches for missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin over the past few weeks, though Kansas City Police Department Capt. Steve Young said it was just outside of the scope where officers had done the most extensive searches.

So 39th Street and Chouteau is outside the area LE have been concentrating on. And it's not that far away from the Irwin home. Hmmm.

Honestly, I'm having a hard time believing they "missed" the abandoned house in their searches. Let's assume LE didn't know this house was abandoned, surely the locals were aware of it? Why didn't anyone alert LE?:waitasec:

If you look at a map, you can see that LE have concentrated their searches around the Irwin home and east of the Irwin home. That makes me suspect that they might be thinking the dumpster fire wasn't just a coincidence.
