I hear ya. But again, I go back to the original call being a medical dispatch. If you call 911 and say "I found someone who's covered in blood" dispatch will send the entire calvary. If you call and say "my co-worker collapsed, he might be having a heart attack" they are sending EMT.

Obviously there's a huge gray area between those two extreme examples and dispatchers are trained specifically to ask simple questions to triage every call. They know that people might be upset usually when they call 911 and might give incomplete or incorrect details so they are trained to ask questions multiple times in order to understand what is going on, all the while dispatching the correct services to the location.

If the 911 contains details of the crime like "please help! i came in this morning, i saw Joe Suspect leaving and now my coworker is in a pool of blood, looks like shooting/stabbing!" and they sent EMTs only then that dispatcher is probably already pulled and suspended and shortly will be looking for new employment.

IMO
But I understood it was the police who did respond and found the scene. So we don't really know what "medical call" means.

Anyone who would kill four people is definitely a danger to anyone and everyone IMHO.

I would be on HIGH alert living there and especially as an employee.

The scanner audio says “CPR in progress”.
I’m curious how others here interpret this...I don’t have experience with scanner dialogue.

Scanner traffic reveals new information in Mandan murder investigation

Someone (either EMT or civilian) is performing CPR on the victim.

NOTE: It's not uncommon for the dispatcher to walk the 911 caller through CPR procedures until the EMTs arrive and take over. In that case dispatch will relay to the EMT that CPR is in progress to let them know subject is unconscious and being rendered aid by someone else.

Thank you, I was hoping you would review this and provide your input but I didn’t want to call you out.

So the identity of the 911 caller is not publicly known. Is that correct?

Feel free. I had a LOT of coffee today and feel chatty. :)

In my neck of the woods/city, EMTs never arrive at a scene without police. Often, the police/fire dept. are the first on scene and attend to the person/people until the EMS arrives. If EMS/fire dept. is first on the scene and if there is a crime scene, they will not endanger the lives of the first responders b/c if you have victims of violence how can you know the scene is secure? So much about this is confusing..... who called? , why did they think it was a cardiac event? and how was it that the police had to be called in separately?

And, we still have no new press briefings. Perplexing to say the least.

No, but I have a feeling it was one of the victims.
Yes, I agree. But, the call was cardiac arrest not acts of violence/crime scene. There was someone giving CPR possibly. Ugh, the lack of solid information and timeline is frustrating.

That would seem unlikely to me. If a victim, it seems they would have provided info on a crime and it wouldn't have been labeled a medical call. If it was just a 911 hangup or no voices, police would have responded first.

In my area, if EMS is dispatched, fire MUST also be dispatched. (Its a contract thing). But typically police will also respond "just in case" unless its an obvious medical only call, ie the nursing home, old folks home, etc.

Why does that part make me think that people will drive from many miles away just to be at the open office/crime scene? I can't help but think this is not the greatest idea ever. :/

Also, in regards to this company and the possibility that the perpetrator of this crime may be an unhappy client or customer, there are several services offered but RJR Maintenance....

These are, according to their page:
*Leasing Consultation (Free)
*Commercial and Residential Maintenance (Price varies)
*Climate Controlled Storage (Price varies)
*Commercial Property Management (Price varies)
*Marketing (Price varies)

That's a bunch of irons in the fire and many opportunities for unhappy tenants, residents or business owners, storage unit leasers, unhappy investors. IMO

He/she may not have known anyone else was injured and maybe was unable to speak much as to his/her injuries.

Interesting, “working with a private investigator”...

“An employee of RJR told KFYR-TV Wednesday morning they have no comment at this time, but are working with a private investigator and will be releasing a statement sometime in the coming days regarding the murders.”

RJR reopens after bodies found on Monday
SABBM

Well, that's a step forward, hopefully !

So far this case is about as clear as mud.

Curiosity is a draw, that's true. I hope people would come to pay their respect, either from family, friends or community. Most vigils or memorial service invite participants back for an after-gathering, so I think that's not unusual to post it. Maybe the person or persons responsible will show up. JMO
