Sorry I'm jumping in here myself but just gotta add this makes NO sense. Do I have this right--CC can't reach his family by phone from a gym that's only a mile or so from his house... so he phones 911 to investigate and see if they're ok? Wth? Please tell me I have it wrong cause that in itself sounds pretty bad. You'd just drive home and check it out yourself before going to such an extreme. ETA: And I know he claims they'd been "harassed" but he still could've easily arrived there before LE if he'd WANTED to.

:parrot:

You are correct - it makes no sense at all.

As far a Chrissy jumping from the Chester Bridge - since he is being followed 24 hours a day he would have a hard time doing that.

We have had many jumpers off the bridge and not many of them have died. They have river rescue crew at Chester PD with a boat and all. The river is up now but they would get to him before he drowned.

The bridge is pretty busy at all hours of the day - it a small narrow two lane bridge with a speed limit of 45 mph.

I truly think Chrissy went for a joy ride just to see how far MCS would follow him. He has to be feeling the pressure. Chrissy can go to Cape G and catch the river bridge there to come back to IL and he can come back up to Chester via Rt. 3 on the IL side - It a nice scenic drive when you fell like blowing off steam. (one big circle without having to back track)

I believe it was a Gold's Gym he had a membership to in South County. This is the closest location to I-255/I-270 (where he would cross from Columbia, IL into the South County area) that I could find.

Yup. It would be my guess it is exactly where he is heading...to the untouchable ward.

See...there could be a reason he reminded us instantly of Mark Hacking besides his looks.

Maybe George Anthony will come up from Florida to hold his hand.

Just a little FYI.........one of my daughters is a forensic chemist. She told me that contrary to what people believe, during an investigation, there really are NOT that many times that a readable fingerprint is found.

In line with that, I'm wondering that IF LE feels the back door or whatever, doesn't look like it was forced, and IF Chris is the alleged perp and THOUGHT he'd made it look like it was broken into, I'm wondering IF it were him, would he have worn gloves when he strangled his wife and children?

Along that line,.............COULD there be useable fingerprints on the bodies?

But alas, I will say that my daughter also attended a forensic gathering a few months back and attended a seminar given by Wecht, Lee, and Dr. Baden. I believe it was Dr. Lee (not sure?), who said that during his career, there's only been ONE instance in HIS case participation, where they were able to obtain a 'good' fingerprint from the victim's body.

So................it's a long-shot. We can pray though.

JMHO
fran

PS.......I just want to clarify a little........when my daughter said that about useable fingerprints, she was talking about how people ALWAYS believe if there's a print, it will point to a definit perp. She said quite often, the print is 'unreadable.' ie smudged or whatever.........hope that's clearer, sometimes I confuse myself :), fran

WOAH! Good catch Medusa...

I thought I was losing my marbles. That article CLEARLY didn't have the word "hospital" in it earlier: (or if it did -- I need some sleep)

Message #1403 This was posted (there is more) earlier.
>>
Coleman was on I-55 passing through Cape Girardeau, Mo., at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with police following him at a distance and at normal highway speeds.<<

The same article now says:
>>Coleman was on I-55 headed south at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. He arrived with his parents at a hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo., with police following him at a distance and at normal highway speeds.<<

I wonder if they are going to have him committed via the IL equivalent of the Florida "Baker Act" because he has threatened suicide? In Florida they can hold someone up to 5 days. That would give his legal 5 team days to wrangle. ???

And it would immediately take him out of the news!!!!!!! Brilliant strategy :(

Except right now he is apparently in Southeastern Missouri.

And it would take JMM out of the spotlight - just as it was starting to shine under that rock!!!!! 5 days from now most of the world will have turned their attention to the newest, latest. This is the just the kind of subterfuge (damage control) I posted about.

Wow! This is starting to sound more and more like OJ or Scott Peterson!

Wonder if Chris has made any hand signals like Scott did?

Nah, his dad's with him, isn't he? Gotta keep up appearances.

LE will probably post men outside his door. They aren't going to let him get far without having his "escorts". They can't talk to him without his attorney (which isn't going to happen), but they aren't going to allow him to go anywhere either.

I think this is a ploy from his defense team. Never too early to get started on an Insanity defense...

I can't see him burying his wife and children then going in to visit someone at the hospital. He doesn't appear to be ill physically.

This could backfire in several ways tho. They will check him out from head to toe. They will also note any marks, scratches, bruises, etc. on his body which can later be used against him.

They could find he is sane and rational. Oops.

They could treat him and release him today...right into the arms of his waiting LE force.

Except right now he is apparently in Southeastern Missouri.

LOL - I meant the Missouri equivalent of the Baker Act which legally allows someone to be committed to a psych facility (usually in a hospital) for a period of time because they are a danger to themselves or others.

It's a great tactic to build an insanity defense.

Do we know that he has threatened suicide? It'd be funny to see if the detectives would hang outside the psych unit waiting for him to be discharged.

Seriously though, I think that there was a guy that murdered his wife, it was one of those "my wife went out jogging and never came back" guys. I think that the found him walking around on the street naked and took him to the psych unit. Its a really messed up thing to do, puts the patients in the psych unit in danger.

YEs it is. I hope he is simply visiting an ill family member.

Anyone familiar with JMM know if this is true? IMO, all kinds of wrong and a very narcissistic enterprise. Below is just a snip of the comment:

And her son pulls up in a Mercedes Kompressor, you walk in to the main admin lobby and there a chandelier hanging from the ceiling that is bigger than the ones they have hanging in the White House. Just a bunch of money spent on stuff they don't need that could have been spent spreading the word of the Lord. Or providing food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, etc... No, Joyce just wants to flaunt it and waste it. And then she has to the gall to put in huge letters on the front of her bulding "LOOK AT WHAT THE LORD HAS BUILT". No, it should read "look at what the fools that sent me money bought!!".

Sorry if this has been answered, way behind this a.m.... but yes, it is true. If you do more digging on them, you'll see a republican sponsored initiative to find out how shes getting her money, where she spends her money & does she follow the rules by claiming it all, etc.. For a not for profit, it sure is profitable IMO.

It would be a brilliant strategy but it definitely wouldn't stop tongues from wagging AND shining the spotlight right back on him..........

From the cases I've watched develope here on the pages of Websleuths, it can take up to a month for all the DIRT on a NOT suspect to surface. IF he were in a hospital room, some that may be AFRAID to step forward with him on the loose, may just gain courage.

Just sayin'

No kidding  I was speculating that the discussion of suicide may have arisen between he and his father. If so, my first thought was that his daddy would help him get right with Jesus to meet his maker, so to speak. But to tell LE he is suicidal BEFORE they arrest him is simply brilliant. Even if they find scratches on his chest - I would think that the HIPAA laws would prevent or at least delay a release of that kind of information. I could be wrong, just thinking out loud.

TULSA, OK -- Traffic in downtown Tulsa is expected to be heavy as best selling author and convention speaker Joyce Meyer comes to the BOK Center.
