I was wondering the same thing -- what is in that direction? Loose thoughts:

Is he going to pick out a head marker for the family?

Is he being taken to a family cabin where he can take some time out to recuperate (are there guns in that cabin, and ammo?)

My guess is that unless LE can pretty well predict where they are going, they will be forced to arrest him soon. Where is the helicopter at this point?

Is it possible that Chris said, "Take me to the cabin dad, I have some business to do"?

Sorry I'm jumping in here too but just gotta add this makes NO sense. Do I have this right--CC can't reach his family by phone from a gym that's only a mile or so from his house... so he phones 911 to investigate and see if they're ok? Wth? Please tell me I have it wrong cause that in itself sounds pretty bad. You'd just drive home and check it out yourself before going to such an extreme.

It is more than a mile from his house. Depending upon traffic that morning, my guess is it would take him 10 minutes or so. I know the area, but I'm not sure exactly where that Golds Gym is located.

Coleman sees family buried, heads south

Chris Coleman watched his wife and sons being buried Wednesday morning and then headed south on Interstate 55 with a group of police detectives following him.

Coleman was on I-55 passing through Cape Girardeau, Mo., at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with police following him at a distance and at normal highway speeds.

Early Wednesday morning three unmarked police cars and a sport utility vehicle full of detectives were staked out around the house in Chester where Chris Coleman has been staying since his wife and two sons were strangled.

This is something that's been sticking out in my mind. If the police thought there was actually someone out there that did this to CC's family, wouldn't they want to stash him away somewhere that no one really knew about? I mean....if someone were to threaten me and actually get to my family, I wouldn't then go and stay with other family members. I'd be afraid that I'd be putting them in danger.

IF LE REALLY believed there was someone out to get Chris Coleman, they would be dogging someone else or have someone else in custody. They have mentioned, in passing I might add, the family's contact with 'someone' in regard to the alleged threats.

They sure didn't sound serious about that little bit of information, ie alleged threat,.............at least to my 'websleuth' self.

There are two things that would solidify his guilti-ness: besides the TOD, but as my picture shows above, the camera is pointing at the mailbox, so was the camera even on that night. Secondly, was he scanned into the gym. I heard that it was actually a Gold's Gym and it was located on Gravois. If I am right, that gym is pretty far away, about 20 minutes or so, no matter if you take 255/270 to gravois or if you take 55 N to reavis then to mackenzie and then gravois. So, if he left at 5:45 and got to the gym, if there was good traffic in STL at this time, he would have arrived at about 6:05 or so. That gives him a 45 minute workout, changing clothes, shower, socialize, etc, before calling his family. I wonder if he called his family every morning, to check up on them. If not, why did he pick this morning, unless he wanted the cops to find the bodes.

There is a casino down that way. He may be going down there to gamble, thinking it is his last chance before a long stint in prison.

Or, there is the "Home of the Throwed Rolls" down in Sikeston, MO. Great food at Lamberts if you've never been.

I love Lamberts. Whenever down that way, we stop!

Yup. It would be my guess it is exactly where he is heading...to the untouchable ward. :crazy:

I wonder if they are going to have him committed via the IL equivalent of the Florida "Baker Act" because he has threatened suicide? In Florida they can hold someone up to 5 days. That would give his legal 5 team days to wrangle. ???

And it would immediately take him out of the news!!!!!!! Brilliant strategy

I'd be so funny if he's got a line of LE following him at the hospital! I know that wouldn't happen, but the visual would be great. They will trail him around the hospital, I just don't think its going to be a whole parade.
