Oh, one more thing I want to bring up because I'd never heard of it before...why does their Major Case Squad have a time limit for investigating this case? I live in NY and I've never heard of that here...something happens...they investigate it as long as it takes to solve the crime. I'd never heard of LE only having 5 days to investigate a case.

Would someone enlighten me if possible? TIA.

I'm not familiar with this LE agency. But I would venture to say that the 'Major Case Squad' is probably composed of the more experienced detectives that are used enmasse for MAJOR cases.

I believe I read that there were 25 investigators. Seriously, that's a LOT of eyes on one case.

The first 48 hours after a crime are the most critical. Thus, they most likely feel that if there's going to be a quick resolution to a case, they give it all they've got from the get-go.

They may have done a study and found agencies or whatever that use this type of tactic end up with FEWER UNSOLVED cases.

Well, suffice it to say that there were a few people who 'knew' info that made the husband look better (they THOUGHT) and would introduce it here and it ehhhh......ended up back-firing on the NOT suspect.

Yep. I know WS doesn't track who posts and I'm sure the local papers don't unless LE gets involved. It would be too time consuming to do so for one. However, I know at least two crime bloggers who do track posts left on their site that they suspect, and they have come from the suspects or persons closely involved with them. And in one case it was a murdering husband that was posting while on the run from LE.

If in fact Sheri was estranged from her family in Chicago,maybe it was because of CC.Either he had control issues or they saw him for what he really is.IMO When a woman is estranged from her family 9 times out of 10 the husband is the cause.

The whole spray painting the kids, etc. is so disturbing to me.

Now wouldn't it be fantastic is LE found the DVR hardrive? Keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers, because that will tell who exactly commited the murders...whether it's Chris or not.

that is probably what they are looking in the water. if it is hopefully it can be salvaged

It makes sense to bring together people who specialize for a limited time on such a case. They work with the FBI and local LE. The site explains their expertise and how they are instrumental in solving nearly 80% of cases they are called on to work.

Just curious.. when LE says the kids were spraypainted, what exactly does that mean? Like, someone spraypainted the bodies?

In another comment, someone posted that a "sheet covering someone was spraypainted with FU." Take it for what it's worth...could be true, could be someone spreading some nasty rumors. For the sake of Sherri and her beautiful sons I hope it is just some hateful rumor.

IIRC, a neighbor stated early on that the boys were very well behaved and then referred to CC's military background as the impetus for their good behavior. Sounds like he was a strict father - was he also a strict husband? I agree that it's quite possible, even likely, that CC has control issues. Sheri doesn't sound like a hot=headed person, but she does sound like an independent one!

If Chris called someone (supposedly the gf) and said he was leaving the gym at 6:00am...it makes no sense as it would not help solidify his alibi. It would also give LE a reason to suspect the supposed gf by alerting her to his whereabouts. (Maybe it was his intention to draw her into this as another suspect tho. We know there are plenty of perps who throw others under the proverbial bus to save themselves.)

Usually when a victim is covered and/or strangled it is a personal crime. It will be interesting to find out if any of them were covered and if they were really strangled. JMO

I have emailed Nancy Grace some of the comments made on this case.Why isn't she covering it?The horrible deaths of a woman and her 2 sons should be on national news.Just how much power does Joyce Meyers have?

Thanks, jnTexas. You are absolutely right. The covering up, if true, could be indicative of someone who can't bear to look at what he/she has done to someone close to them. It's definitely personal though.

Can't find them yet! Even the one obit I found does not list their dates of birth - there are better sleuthers than me - help!
