Mentioning DNA got me thinking about a question I had last night, its not about DNA though. If CC took prints of his hands and CC strangled his family with his bare hands is it possible to match them up? And is that at all conclusive evidence that the prosecution can use at trial.

Yes. They can get a print off a body, and according to my ex the print can actually be seen in some strangulation cases.

Just saw this in the same article now (must have just updated it):

Chris Coleman then headed out of Chester with his parents and with police shadowing him. They arrived at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The woman believed to be Connie Coleman had a bandage on her left leg.

She does have a large bandage on her left leg and also on her right wrist in the video at the burial.

It seems odd to me they would travel that far for her to see a Doctor even with an autoimmune disease, but I guess it is possible. Darn. I need to go back to WS logic class 101. LOL

Okay so...

Apparently the woman graveside was his mom and she did head south (if the news report is correct.) They keep adding more to that same article -- sheesh.

Does anyone know where that film of the loading of the trailer is, from the other day? I recall seeing this woman (I believe) and I don't recall seeing anything with her leg -- but then I wasn't looking.

Wondering if she was freshly injured.

I am going through the comments on the Post site, and one mentions that the Florida papers are covering this better. This I take to meant the girlfriend story. Googling, I am not finding any. Does anyone know of any of the FL papers that are covering this?

Looking on the map, there is nothing much after you pass Cape Girardeau. I-55 heads right into AR and TN. There is nothing except small towns along the way that I can see on the maps.

Is he alone? (Besides LE following him)

Hid dad is with him. He also has a brother who lives in Arkansas. Maybe CC will go in the hospital and sneak out a back door to be picked up by the other brother for a ride to AR.

Not necessarily. I have family around that area, and Cape does have good hospitals. People frequently do go there for specialists. It is easier than the drive into St. Louis. So, if his mom has med issues, maybe they just drove hr there to see her doctor. I hope it is that and not his checking in the psych ward.

I think we are all looking too far into this. CC is still thinking that he is innocent or at least wants us all to think that. So, if he turns himself in, even at a hospital, it shows that he is guilty. I bet he is just going to take care of his mother and make it seem like he is perfectly fine and normal.

Even though he killed his family, took his stuff from the house, left it there overlooking the area like a plagued sore, he even left the giant cards, the teddybears and the flowers we have all placed there. I'm sorry, call me biased, but if my family died, I would place those things on their graves and I think that is what some of the neighbors are thinking but they don't want to do it out of fear that he may come back and find out or if they think the LE would look at them for being a suspect. It is just a scary thing, seeing that house there with all of that stuff there. You don't have to be a psychic to feel something strange near that house.

Film here:

Columbia Father Mourns Death of Family

Shows some close ups -- Chris wiping tears away.

Funny that while I know he was rolling around in the grass, I don't remember seeing him crying until LE started to make it clear that they had him in their crosshairs. I don't know if that is the right word or not, but I wanted to use it because :cow: what his bro did to that deer was horrible. JVM seems to be an animal rights activist, it'd be cool if she brought that up. The video is probably too graphic for TV though.

I just posted that his mom is sick and has been for quite some time. (I know this as fact)

If you want good medical care you go outside of Chester to get it. Cape has good doctors there. So does St. Louis and Belleville IL.

I have one doctor down in Cape myself.

Chrissy probably tagged along because he is worried that MCS will take him away and he wants to probably be close to his parents when that time comes.

Chances are they will grab a bite to eat while they are in Cape and then all of them will head home to Chester and MCS will be right behind them.

MCS is surely letting the media know what they are doing - it is all done on purpose, they want people to know he is their #1 suspect without saying it publicly because once they do, they have to let Chrissy's lawyer see what evidence they have on his client.
Another thought is they want people who are friends of Chrissy's who have not been talking to start talking to them. (again they are tight knit in this town) The more they following him around the more guilty Chrissy looks to these small town people.

Sheesh! Why not! Good thinking PandaJ...

There WAS a bandage on the leg of the woman who attended graveside - you can see it at some of the links I posted a few messages ago.

I don't know if she was in the car heading south, but the bandage looked like a burn or something yukky obviously needing treatment.

Maybe they were taking her to a hospital for treatment, films or some such?

Chester Gal, you wrote:

<snip>

Or, there is the "Home of the Throwed Rolls" down in Sikeston, MO. Great food at Lamberts if you've never been.

<snipped>

yes, I have and even tho I'm not a good catcher...hubby is :woohoo:
hey..throw me a roll!! Yummmmm

Exactly Medusa - these country people go to Cape because they don't have to deal with the scary city traffic in St. Louis. Cape has some very good docs.
The first thing these Chester people say to me when the find out I am from St. Louis, they ask me how I could deal with traffic and they say they don't like driving in it because they are not use to it and it scares them to drive in it.

Whoa people...!

If he was going to for mentally ill act or a suicide threat. He would go to St. Louis! (his lawyer would advise him of this - remember his lawyer in in St. Louis)
His lawyer will not want to travel 100 miles one way to Cape G to visit/consult with him. (Think of the $$$$ it would cost just for the travel time the lawyer would charge him - Cape is a 2 hour drive one way from St. Louis down I-55)

Chances are he may be going to his personal doctor to get some sleep meds or something.
If he was giving his DNA per a court order he would do that in St. Louis or Belleville IL.

There are better hospitals in Belleville IL and St. Louis if he was going with the mentally ill act or suicide threat.

Think logically about this.

I agree with you here.

The sole exception would be if, while driving back to Chester with relatives, he intimated suicidal ideations. At that point, they family would insist upon him seeking medical attention immediately; not returning to St. Louis for better treatment, or somewhere closer to appease his attorney.

I just hope that they have a strong enough case against him. His lawyers are good at what they do and I am worried that if he did do it and he gets free and not-guilty from the jury, what will happen to that house and this guy? He certainly would not have a normal life around town anymore. No one will want to buy that house if it went up on the market.

That is a scary thought, but I would think that LE wouldn't let that happen, they have just done an awesome job with this case.

Is the brother that lives in Arkansas the one that is LE? Have we seen non-hunting pics of him?

I would just love it if Illinois were a sunshine state, it would be cool to read any interviews done with the LE brother.

My major concern is that CC is being an self-centered pr!ck again and putting patients in danger. There are a lot of sharp instruments at a hospital, if he wants to suicide he could make an attempt there.

I'll bet the hospital security is definitely working today like have never have before.

Respectfully bolded by me. You have every right to you opinion but I just felt compelled to comment on your statement, which I bolded above.

A woman and her two children were murdered. Her family found out about it A DAY BEFORE the widow's planned wake. I think it is completely understandable that first these people had to DEAL with the fact that their daughter, sister, cousin, godchild and their grandchildren and nephews were GONE and then try to accept that the widow had already planned a service completely without any of their input and scheduled it for the very next day. Then add to that there was family/friends/etc that would want to pay their respects and that didn't leave a whole lotta time to alert those folks and have them make it to Chris' planned service.

I totally understand why they would want to hold their own service.

Yeah and sometimes the preparing of the bodies takes longer too, and some people have different wishes for what happens with the bodies (cremated, casket, etc).
When my sister died last year, it took us three weeks to get her ashes and we couldn't have the funeral/memorial without them. And I had to fly down to get everything taken care of. It's not easy to prepare memorials and funerals one person, much less THREE!!

Carp, it scares me to drive or ride in it. I cross the Big Ditch (Mississippi River to non locals) as little as possible, especially when I have to drive. I have lived in various places in the country and I truly think St. Louis has some of the worst traffic, roads, and drivers.

Here's an interesting thread listing husbands who killed their wives that I found when I was reading the threads about Chris Benoit last night. To be honest I haven't gone through it yet but I'm thinking it might be interesting reading.

Wow, I'm down hear at the "Quick Reply" and I see that there are 71 guests reading this thread. I don't know if that is higher than usual, but it seems like a lot! Come on guys, become a member! :)

It is the rural way of life down here. It was a total culture shock for me when I moved down here in the early 1990's. When you grow up the big city and move to the country like it is here you learn quickly how much you love the city and everything it has to offer.

Chester does not even have a single stop light in it - and we only have 2 major intersections that have stop signs. We only have one grocery store, one tiny little Walmart that closes at 9pm. We have one clinic for doctors and it is like a cattle clinic where they herd people in and out. We have a hospital but they have no maternity ward in it. The fire dept is a joke as no one is there on duty in the fire house at night. Most of the firefighters are volunteers that have to be called in. A house just 1 block away from the fire station burned down in the middle of the night because everyone had to be woke up and they had to drive in to the fire station first to get the fire trucks out of the garages.

Ahhhhhh Country Life!

Darn. I need to go back to WS logic class 101. LOL
