Sheri's cousin, Enrico Mirabelli, spoke with us on behalf of Sheri's family from Chicago.

He says he is encouraged by news of a suspect, but still nervous because there's no arrest. "We're waiting to see when will the state's attorney act. So there's some anxiety is that waiting process," said Mirabelli.

Major Connor says evidence was recovered from a stretch of I-255 that authorities searched near the Jefferson Barracks Bridge.

Mirabelli says Sheri's family is just hoping for justice.

He told us, "We're just waiting for an answer, we're waiting to get a resolution…We always have one question and only one question and that is who did it? That's the answer we're looking for." We have also confirmed that investigators have looked into an alleged relationship that Chris Coleman reportedly had with a woman in Florida.

Wednesday will be day ten of the Major Case Squad investigation.

We're told they will decide on Wednesday whether to continue or disband and wait for lab results.

I wanted to add to something I wrote earlier. I think being able to discuss things helps all of us deal with the things that go on in this world. Being relatively local, this case especially touches me, for many reasons.

I may not say it very often, but, I am grateful for all of you and all my friends at WS who help me make sense of the world, who join in discussions, and help us all work it out. Sometimes being able to just rant, and having someone say thanks or me too, or send a thoughtful pm is just so nice.

~Hugs and Blessings to you all!~

I just get so mad when I read these things:

"Through a spokesman, Sheri Coleman's family says it did not know of a rift in the marriage between the couple, but there is a level of anger now. That anger stems from the fact that the Chris Coleman family removed items from the Columbia home but didn't ask Sheri's mother if there were any mementoes she would like with which to remember her daughter."

How rude is that? Sheri is murdered and they do not even let her mom get some of her items? What insensitive jerks. :furious:

I just wanted to say thank you for the kindhearted post. When my mom passed, my dad put one of her favourite rings on my finger, and it hasn't come off since. I am already leaving a legacy for my son (but hey I'm only 45).

This has to be the most disrespectful thing CC could do. The family needs those momentos of their daughter and grandsons. Without something to touch, to hold, to smell, they cannot even begin to greive. Their hearts are empty!

There's a black heart there, and further convinces me that CC had something to do with it.

Best,

Mel

Oh how sad. I feel for the boys friends and their parents. I can't even imagine what their little friends are going through?

Me neither. I sure hope the schoolmates and playmates of these precious little boys are being cared for and counseled. How can any parent possibly explain what has happened? The effects of these murders will be felt far and wide and will be long lasting.

They were probably used to climb into the basement window.

If you believe the perp didn't have a key to the house.

From that video, those didn't look like hay bales to me except for the size of them. I thought they looked more like cardboard boxes. Could this be something the MCS uses to transport evidence so it is not damaged? I have a friend who works for the STLMPD I'll have to ask him.

I know very few people who would say that after 8 days, the reality of losing their entire family had set in, and they were able to move on (like it appears he is).

After 8 days of losing my husband and children, I can tell you that reality wouldn't have even start to set in. IMO, reality would set in after things quiet down, the murderer is caught, and life begins to return to normal. That's when reality sets in, IMO.

 Very well said!!!

Heck for weeks after my brother took his own life all I could muster was to sit on the steps and stare at the wall. Unloading the dishwasher was a task I couldn't even complete. And I wasn't guilty of his death, just stunned dealing with the reality of it all. Two years later and it's better, but I still get the stare at the wall and try to understand the reality of it all.

Unfortunately Sheri's family has many, many days like these ahead of them as they try to deal with this unfathomable situation. They're probably teetering between denial and anger right now; and I pray they find resolution soon with an arrest and peace in their hearts in the future.

How many times did CC call home that morning from the gym?

  • #354
CC leaves at 5:43 am. Major Connor states he starts calling on his way to the gym to make sure the kids were getting up for school.
So the perp climbs into the opened basement window.
Strangles mom.
Strangles both boys.
Possibly covers one or more with a sheet.
Brings a can of spray paint and sprays messages on muiltiple walls, and possibly the bodies.
Grabs the dvr machine.
takes off the medical pants
leaves the scene
drops the medical pants in another neighbors garbage can
All before 7am seeing as daddy dearest keeps calling home and eventually calls either 911 or the detective (I have read both I think) working his threat case at 6:50am. So I would assume LE was on the scene by 7am.
So he/she did all that in 1 and a quarter hours.
Oh and the perp just so happens to jump in a vehicle and dump something on the same route daddy dearest takes to the gym.
Oh yeah and the kids and parents in the neighborhood seen nothing even though the Coleman kids should've been getting up for school.

It all makes since to me now. No way in he!! daddy dearest is innocent.

You can't! How can you possibly explain something like this to a child, when we can't understand it ourselves?

Trying to explain these horrible things to our children are some of the hardest things to do as a parent, IMO. You can't shield them from all of it, but you don't want to scare the ever loving #&%! out of them either. It's hard!

Welcome to WS, Bluenotes! Great information! Sorry it took so long for you to post.

Wow. This is huge news. JM had no plans to go to Florida that I can tell according to her website since Feb. So if he was planning on such a trip, it would have been a family type vacation. Now that we know about the stripper girlfriend in Florida...it makes it even more curious. (And very sad the boys were building up for such an exciting time to have their hopes dashed...only to be murdered. :()

Thanks for the info on Gold's!!

I wonder if the stripper and CC would hook up for lovers trysts in the different cities. It would be interesting to check out their credit card receipts, cell phone pings etc. to see if any of the dates match up.

I wonder if the stripper or any of the other women could be charged as an an accomplice, I wonder if that could be another reason is holding back on the arrest.

I don't think they have released that info yet.

Thanks. I didn't think I read it in this thread, but I was afraid I missed it.

I remember my own daughter - at the age of 6 or 7 - saying, "Mama, why did that lady kill her babies?" That was the Susan Smith case and I tried so hard to shield her from it. Here we were in Vegas and she STILL heard about it. I remember feeling my heart fall to my knees when she asked and struggling to give her an answer that would make sense to a child her age.

My heart goes out to the entire community where this happened. IMO, as it unfolds, the children and adults alike will not know how to reconcile it in any way.
